Not Lying Down

As 2006 ends and 2007 begins, each of us must not only make the traditional resolutions, but resolve that we have had enough (remember our cry during the election), that we are not going to take it lying down any longer.

Six long years end, as we begin a run of the last two years of the Bush administration. An administration rote with abuse, corruption and intimidation.

Most of the American people have set back and watched as Bush and his cohorts have did their best to tear up the Constitution, leaving it frayed and bruised. Set back and watched as Diebold has disenfranchised their vote. Set back as our elected Representatives in Congress have been corrupted, and intimidated into allowing this destruction of our Constitution.

On November 7, 2006, we elected a large number of new faces and as incoming Democrats we expect them to honor our protest vote, yet all indications are that many are already planning to play ball with Bush.

The Bush game plan and record shows that the lies about Iraq, caused by the misdirection of the hysteria of 9/11, and the shoveling of our tax dollars into all types of atrocities into that MidEast country, will continue. Already its tarnished our sterling reputation as a nation that does the right thing, it has stirred up opposition and hatred in other nations around the world.

The plan calls for a continuing drainage of our treasury, one that when Bush came to power was balanced and growing to the tune of $5,000,000,000,000 surplus by 2010. Vital services and infrastructure has seen their funding cut, including programs to help our troops and their families.

Bush cronies have hauled our tax dollars away, not in pockets full, not in suitcases full, but by the truckload. Major corporations such as Halliburton, Carlyle and Exxon-Mobile have made record profits to the tune of billions of dollars. And the rip-offs continue as you read this.

Something is wrong in America, when you went to the polls last November, you sent a message not only to George W. Bush and his cohorts, but to our own Democratic Representatives that you had enough, you took away the majority control of the rubber stamp, neo-con, corporate owned congress and
senate, you handed control on a silver platter to these Dem Representatives. You gave them a mandate to change the way things work in Washington.

No more, crooked politicians, no more watching as our young men and women die before our eyes (We today hit 3,000 Americans killed in Iraq), no more lies, no more tax cuts for the wealthy, no more raping of the environment, no more deregulation of vital industries, such as utilities, prisons and health care.

We have watched as these criminal politicians and corporate entities have stolen our freedoms, we no longer have privacy, no longer have habeas corpus, we no longer enjoy the so called freedom of the press, because they have become merely propaganda organs for this corrupt administration. Even your right to assemble and exercise of free speech is threatened.

Because of the theft of the public treasury, our debt increases daily to new records, there is no surplus to fund future programs for the sick, the young nor the elderly, such as there was under the Clinton administration.

Our children and grandchildren are being saddled with an enormous debt, that will be many times as hard to gain control of, than it was from 1992-2000. But even more scary is the a planet that is slowly burning up, and these fools won't even acknowledge global warming, they listen to idiots like Rush Limbaugh, who can't keep the depletion of the ozone layer and global warming separate, and it is a sure bet they will do nothing about it in the next two years.

Are we going to continue to watch as fascism is imposed upon us at the will of the neo-cons? They use fake terror alerts to pull on your fears of the unknown, use domestic terrorism to keep you in submission, their tools to accomplish this are the so called necessary legislation that was passed such as the Homeland Security Act, the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act, while Halliburton and other crooked corporations build concentration camps around the world, they use illegal tapping of our phone calls and emails all in the name of protecting our freedoms to achieve their dark goals.

There are many more that I could write about, outrages that is abuse of "We The People", by Bush and his staff in the Executive Branch of our Government. Make your own list, study it and ask yourself, is this the will of the people, is it what is mean't about living in a Democracy?

It appears that the election was a waste of America's time and votes, as we see the Iraq occupation escalating once  again, see Bush calling for more troops, more money for his buddies at Carlyle and Halliburton.  Then to have our newly elected Democratic leaders say, "Impeachment is not on the table", we all get that sick feeling in the pit of our stomach.

We the people must remove this cancer from office, Bush and Cheney must go, three thousand dead in three years of war, and two more years to go in his term of office, will we see another three, four, or ten thousand killed? The tool for eradicating this cancer is called impeachment, never before in this country has it been needed more.

We need to look into the Rico Act, enacted by the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970, and label this administration and its criminals for what they are members of an ongoing criminal conspiracy. We need to include corporations into this as well, after all they want to be considered equivalent to an individual in the eyes of the law, then treat them that away. One of the penalties for conviction on violation of the Rico Act is that all property of the guilty would be confiscated and sold. We could use these funds to wipe out a large portion of our national debt, to fund need programs, and restore others.

If Nancy Pelosi and the other Democrats continue to "work with Bush and Cheney, allowing the perpetuators to continue as before, enabling them and their criminal cohorts to keep ripping off the American people, then they would become co-conspirators and subject to same criminal penalties.

While the use of the Rico Act would serve notice that we the American people have had enough, it would also act as a valid check on the elected officials to prevent further harm to We The People.

When you open your eyes and see the truth, about what has and is being done to our Constitution, to the Bill of Rights, to you and your family, you will join us WeDemocrats.org and other groups working for a progressive America, for a free and trusting America, one that will return to position it has earned as the leader of the free world, you will say I am "not lying down" for this any longer, you will read publications such as "WE! The People" magazine online, you will join with your fellow Americans to take back this country.

Happy New Year!
