I think you have a good understanding of the situation.  I hope you will use your public position to further educate Oregonians about the true nature of our ruling regime. I also hope you are considering a challenge to Senator Gordon Smith.  You are a much better representation of the Oregon I know and live in.

    Lurkers give it up!
    Hi - I confess: I am a lurker.  I never post comments but I read everything - every day and usually several times a day I log onto MyDD and Daily Kos.  I gave 10 bucks cuz it's what I could afford.  I ask that anyone who is a similar "Lurker" take a moment to give what they can cuz the time is right for our voices to unite.  Bush and his cabal are ruining our country and polluting our world.     Why
    Can anyone tell me why the Dems didn't do this earlier? I am flabbergasted that they are only doing it now as a threat??? Why aren't they doing it because it's the right thing to do - because it is the just and principled thing to do? Why shouldn't these bills be introduced every session so that every election cycle there is an easy contrast to campaign on?  I feel like I must be missing something totally obvious but ... why not?

    Watching trees grow
    We bought our place about 5 years ago and one of the first things I did was to plant 6 trees. When I stop to consider them I usually find I feel myself grounded and pleased by their slow and steady progress.  Plant a tree, watch it grow and feel yourself connected to the earth...that makes me happy.
