Exactly -- this is utterly surreal. Anyone who is rich, powerful, and connected enough to be in the Senate or Cabinet will have enormously complicated finances. It's no surprise that they or their accountants blow made a mistake at some point. Heck, I've probably screwed up my taxes in some way before, and mine are simple.
