i made a counter of my own a little while ago -- see "thanks bp". it just counts the gallons spilled and the days lapsed. it doesn't even try to guess the amount "captured". best of all, unlike the pbs widget, which commands a lot of blog real estate, mine is resizable.
... mortensen said his admiration for the loose assemblage of vague half-notions he calls the constitution has only grown over time. he believes that each detail he has pulled from thin air--from prohibitions on sodomy and flag-burning, to mandatory crackdowns on immigrants, to the right of citizens not to have their hard-earned income confiscated in the form of taxes--has contributed to making it the best framework for governance "since the ten commandments."

mortensen's passion for safeguarding the elaborate fantasy world in which his conception of the constitution resides is greatly respected by his likeminded friends and relatives, many of whom have been known to repeat his unfounded assertions verbatim when angered. still, some friends and family members remain critical ...

didn't lieberman already owe obama his senate seat after begging him to stump for joe in 2006?
i just can't see what lieberman has to offer that doesn't require trusting him.
the howler monkeys have gotten so used to hectoring democrats into apologizing for absolute bullsh*t that being put in this corner must really burn them up. being republican means never having to say you're sorry. but crocodile tears aren't going to save november for them anyway. maybe a few will grow up and go out with a shred of dignity, but at this point, who cares?
