I didn't know this person supported Palin (been away). Had I known that I wouldn't have bothered to comment. Anyone who supported that twit should be banished to Siberia.
Half a dozen? actually it was two on the economic team. Both terrific appointments. Further, it looks like at least three, probably four women at cabinet level, one senior advisor, communications director, social secretary and I suspect others to come. I think Obama likes to be surrounded by smart, strong accomplished women.
Good for him. And good for the country.
It's difficult to choose but if forced I'd have to say two of his short stories which I re-read periodically and which have profoundly influenced my life:
"The Death of Ivan Ilych" and the lesser known "How Much Land Does A Man Need".
btw, if I could I'd change my user name. Tolstoy is obviously a bit pretentious!
I don't know. They are small in number and among them are people I once called friend. I would still be their friend but they are so bitter and unhappy they don't want connection with anyone who won't join in their misery. c'est la vie
Nice diary. One which really makes me feel my age as my election memories go back to 1960 when I voted for JFK. But I'm blessed with wonderful bookends, no? JFK and BHO. Not bad. Not bad.
YOUR party, really? Who the hell are you. When did you join? Last week, last month, last year. Or maybe you're one of Obama's Democrats for a day. What have you contributed in time and money to the Democratic Party and when were you appointed gate keeper? IOW, loudmouth, show your creds or stfu.

Good Owl. You're doing the right thing. I know it wasn't easy. I know it because I've been forced by conscience to do the same.
I totally agree with Howard. He's spot on.
Really? Forty per cent? Proof once again Americans are not serious people.
So he claims.

You've been 14 for a very long time. Must be counting in Obama years.
Go to hell.
Hamp was promoting and supporting Democrats before you were born.
Obama wouldn't even go to Memphis to pay tribute to Dr. King.
