Bush could have been caught flat-footed if

Kerry - not just Edwards or Dean - had gotten out ahead on this issue, stating Read my lips: No new draft just to clean up Bush's mess in Iraq. I argued for it in a couple of Diaries on Kos and a couple of threads on Sozadee.com.
It was red meat then. Now it's stale, almost carrion.

Kerry-Clark

The poll at Sozadee CA is running Clark 50%, Edwards 30%, Gephardt 2.5%. To me the arguments for Wes Clark, as stated at the site, seem overwhelming. I will be very disappointed if Gep is selected. . . . There's also the 'stealth candidate', but I don't think you can pronounce the words "Kerry-Gore"?
