It is what it is!...I hope these numbers stay...that means she pulled it in real close....Go Hillary!

As also pointed out in reply to earlier diary, I've looked at internals of Suffolk Poll, which show only 26% of the sample under the age of 45.  That seems very low and raises question of missing younger voters using cell phones etc. I will not be suprised if BO's lead is cut to high single digits, but if HRC's own polling showed this at 4% you can bet that she would have never left Oregon.  Surely an upset in Oregon would have been worth more than piling on a few more points in Kentucky.

Also, because Oregon turnout is expected to be very high, 70% or more, with Kentucky much lower, any increase in BO's margin in Oregon will cut into HRC's raw popular vote net gain tomorrow.  She needs to at least double and probably triple his margin in Oregon to yield a popular net gain from her win in Kentucky.  

So how does a nearly even split close the gap? What am I missing?

I talked to many undecideds, even as late as yesterday.  Where did you hear that 75% of the ballots are already in?  I heard a figure much lower than that on Friday.

Good unity diary.  It's essential for the Democratic party to get out every vote possible, as it will pay massive dividends in November. Turnout, turnout, turnout.

Even from those bloggers who attempt to hijack a pro-HRC diary by repeatedly misrepresenting its intent. Like so many things witnessed this year in our Party, just because folks keep stating the same lies over and over again, it has no bearing on the truth!

The truth shall prevail. Eventually, it always does. Even here.

"Kurtz asked Clinton about the May primary, about No Child Left Behind and about county payments from the federal treasury." Our girl may not be in OR, but she is hitting the airwaves. Go Hillary!

Obama is a damaged candidate.  He collected his delgegates in caucus states that are mostly RED.

Once some of the press began to look at him closely, some of his past "record, or lack thereof" came out.  More to come, that's for sure.
Rezko will be found guilty (hopefully the jury will reach a verdict prior to June 1), and Ob will be further tainted as being a close member of the Illinois Combine.

 1.  These folks have NEVER done a poll in OR to my knowledge.

  2. Their crosstabs suck to be frank.  More than half their sample is 56 and about 75% is 45 and older.  The electorate will definately skew younger than that.  They polled indies, who can't vote in the primary and they don't break out any minority groups at all.

  3. Marion County is no f-ing bellweather county.  Also, doing an SPSS observation-based analysis is really quite weak.  A better bell-weather would be Washington County or even Lane or Deschutes.

CNN News is showing in their polling that Obama's lead in Oregon has slipped, and he only has a modest lead now. Hillary leads by 30% in Kentucky.

Republicans register here and try to act like Obama or Clinton supporters in an attempt to break us up.

Don't trust any overly pro-Clinton or pro-Obama fans saying ugly things about either candidate. 90% of supporters will be just fine after a few days of mourning. Trust me, we will all cry more if McCain wins in November.

So much for that tight race.  

Folks, don't turn this into another NC where certain polls show the race to be close, when we all know it won't be.

Obama will win Oregon by more than double digits, or close to double-digits.

Looks like Obama is already GOTV in a big way, pulling in 75,000 (and a few dozen boats!) to a Portland, Oregon rally.

If projections of a 700,000 turnout are correct, more than one in ten showed up in force on Sunday.

This one feels a lot like NC--look for a spread in the teens.

Hillary will score a win in Kentucky, her last until Puerto Rico.  Puerto Rico, not being a state, has no swing in the GE in November.  It would be a strange sort of contortion that somehow bestowed significance on Puerto Rico while ignoring completely all the "Red States" that Obama was able to pile on along the way.

Let's enjoy this epic race--and then unite behind the nominee.

Aside for signficantly underweighing the under 45 vote by about 50%, they also conducted the poll at the same 75,000 Kool-Aiders were down by the river.  No problem, that isn't quite 10% of all the registered Dems in the state, but its close.  

And the poll was conducted by college kids.  I know how little respect they get in the Hillary camp so I am certain that same lack of respect will be applied to these poll results.

What's the best thing we Deomcrats can do to ensure a win in November? Make phone calls and donate money to Hillary to gain 5 pts. in Oregon? Do you really, really, think so?

I'm amazed that you managed to singlehandedly convert a bunch of Obama supporters to support Hillary! All these calls for Rec'ing your diary and unity to support Hillary is welcomed. I knew they would eventually come around to see, like we do, that Hillary is the best and strongest candidate to beat McCain and win back the White House.

 I'll admit that when I am being proselytized (the most recent example was when a life-long friend was regaling me to vote for McCain), I will often take the easy way out and tell them "OK, I'm convinced! Thank-you for educating me." It's often the only way to make a true believer change the subject. Unless you go into the booth with a person, the nature of their vote is a secret.
