I noticed the same thing, Jerome.  Looks really good, but I am just going to vote and cross my fingers, because if people don't vote, these polls are all damn worthless.

Thanks for the post.  It is SO important for all of us to realize that polls make not one iota of difference come election day.

Again, POLLS DON"T MATTER ON ELECTION DAY.

We have to vote early.  Or we simply have to vote.

But no poll makes a difference come election day.

Imagine Barack losing.  Now that will motivate you.

None of these polls, especially in states where polls have it 10% or closer, matters.

    PLEASE vote.

  • There's no need for Obama or Biden to go there directly.

You will NEVER see Bush on MSNBC or Dick Cheney ANYWHERE except Limbaugh.

That "do it tomorrow" mentality is what happened in Japan 15 years ago, and they are JUST now coming out of a recessin that lasted a decade

I agree.  Big gap between the two.

I've decided Jerome is kind of a dick.  Probably no one I would kick it with in real life.

I'll be over at FiveThirtyEight, the real winner in this election cycle.

Nate Silver does a great job and doesn't let petty comments masquerade as commentary.

Jerome has a real bad taste left in his mouth from the Primary.

A lot of us think he kinda wants Barack to lose just so he can say "I told you so."

Which would equal disaster for the country.

    Wow, Jerome,

You can disagree with the man without being disagreeable.

And what's with posting the kid video.  That's for Drudge not this site.

    Freaking boo on you.

  • I'm glad to see that at least those commenting here aren't falling for this tactic

i have to say though, i just had a conversation with a Republican friend of mine, and its shocking the degree to which these people WON'T support Obama no matter what gaffes McCain and others make, let alone the flawed policies they are promoting

Getting Out the Vote is going to make or break this election in the key battleground states.  Don't wait for a "logic magic bullet" to convince the swing voters

we have to do the work - it's the only way we win

I have to say, there almost seems to a be a "can't wait to be able to say I told you so" tone to this post.

Jerome, we know you and many of us liked Clinton in the Primary.  We get it.  But now we need to be doing EVERYTHING we can to get Barack elected.

So this advice to Barack, while good, needs to be paired with GOTV efforts.

Because I don't want to be able to tell anyone "I told you so" come November.  This isn't about Barack at this point.  I ain't living under Republicans any more.

This election will be a test of OUR effort to correct this ship - so that our lives will be better.

I'm torn.  I never supported Hillary, always Barack, and always felt like he was the better pick.

And part of me still does.

But damn it, I do want him to fight!  Be tough.

But maybe some of you are right - a black man can not come across as angry or we lose.

So I am confused.  Don't know what to do.

I wish we had a Mousilini/strong man type who would be out there waving his fists and taking it straight to these Republicans

But I doubt Barack should be that guy.  He needs a surrogate to be that guy and MSNBC is demoting the  progressives

I place a lot of hope in Bill Clinton getting more involved.  He could get out there and wave his finger and get angry for Barack.  I think thats what we need, at this point, to win.

Have Bill go all around Florida and Ohio and Pennsylvania and let Barack be in places like New Mexico, Colorado and Michigan.

    Obama and Bill in 08!

In my view, this is probably a short term victory for the truth

In general, I find Campbell Brown very unreliable - her unsympathetic take on the truth, especially as it relates to Obama, make her very prone to over-correct if the Right wing blogs start giving her a hard time on this

  • We will not let this slide, AP!

Heading over to Kos to see what the next move is.

No more Dukakis, Gore or Kerry.

This year, Dems fight back and like Biden's Mom said, we bloody their nose.

Tough on terrorists and tough on media hacks!

  • I agree I agree I agree

    Finally a station for us!

  • Think about the big picture. We finally have a station to watch....!

For years I had to deal with Wolf Blizter, Howie Kurtz and Campbell Brown hem-hawing the Dems while tacitly going along with the foundations of Republican thinking.

    And Fox was a joke.

PLEASE, MSNBC, do not change course.  For the first time I have a station I can watch.

And most of my friends love you too.  We will support you!

So happy to see Gore up there.

And he's right.  I was one of those people who thought there was no difference between the candidates in 2000.

I won't make that mistake again.  Obama all the way.
