Hewitt versus Beinart

I was going to post yet another Bienart takedown/outrage, him cavorting with the extended Republican Noise Machine, blah, blah...  But instead I'm posting this just for the sheer hilarity of it as written. You just can't make up stuff like this. From Powerline:
Next Thursday (February 10) I'll be moderating the Patriot Forum sponsored by local Twin Cities Salem Radio affiliate AM 1280 "The Patriot" between Hugh Hewitt and Peter Beinart on the future of the Democratic Party. The forum will be held downtown Minneapolis at the Hilton Hotel.

Hugh Hewitt is of course the proprietor of one of the most entertaining shows in talk radio and an intellectual dynamo. See, for example, Hugh's Daily Standard column today on Eason Jordan and John Kerry: "Media notes."Peter Beinart is the brilliant editor of the New Republic.

From his perch at the New Republic, Beinart is himself playing a leading role in shaping the future of the Democratic Party. I'll be asking the questions and keeping the speakers within time limits so that we can cover a lot of territory and keep the program moving. We'll wind up with questions from the audience.

Well if you look at it the right way
Beinart is not playing as big a part in shaping the future of the Democratic party as Bush, but Beinart has certainly helped us define all of the reasons to be opposed to Bush's foreign policy. Without all the help we've gotten from Bush and Beinart, Joe Lieberman could be a leading contender for presidential nominee in '08.

They forgot O'Really!
Where would the Democratic party be today without all of O'Really's helpful suggestions? I've also been taking a lot of Dick Morris' advice to heart lately, since his only interest is the welfare of the Democratic party. Is it too late to persuade Hannity to run for DNC Chair in a last ditch effort to stop Dean?
