Hate to put up a link, but please ask how the Dems will handle this situation.
I was gonna disagree until I came to your last paragraph.
Reid blew it. Even though I believe his aim was to get a timetable, that's not the way to do it.
1. We don't have the ready troops to send and we need to replace those there now because they're damaged. Please see this.
2. Just because Bush commits to a timetable doesn't mean he'll honor it. He doesn't honor the Geneva Convention nor the Bill of Rights.
3. Its still playing politics with people's lives and that's flat wrong.
methinks the stickler is #3. There will always be factions and they will be the hardest to convince its in the best interest of all to not play games.
Left out of the whole nasty and myopic rant is any possibility that Nancy Pelosi might want someone who can chair the Intelligence Committee who can do a good job running the Intelligence Committee.
It would seem to me she already knows. She's been around long enough to know the strengths and weaknesses of House members.
Organizing the entire House of Representatives is probably the larger factor.
I believe rangeragainstwar should be invited. He is insightful and, more importantly, has "been there" and brings a new perspective to what's happening.
Can't imagine actually becoming a full-time blogger particularly when it costs me nothing but money to blog and there's no income in it for me.
That said, I do surf, scour, dig, comment and post for something like 12 hours each day and rarely skip a day, so there isn't much difference.
Oh wait--I know why MSNBC decided to write this article as though the voters are being unfair to Bush. Sorry about the lapse in memory and judgment.
At least you didn't confuse Iraq, the country we invaded, with Iran, the country we will invade, like I often do.
Are you trying to tell me Bemidji, MN doesn't deserve Homeland Security funds to protect this?
