I'm ditching the caps on my subject line. I think it's a good post about corruption, however.
You have a very good case of a politician, Lamar Smith, acting against the interests of his constituents. Leininger and his company give him thousands of dollars in contributions, so he's remaining quite on this scam. Smith, if he had any morals would be asking for an SEC investigation into Leinginer's nearly $100 million stock sale of his KCI stock. Was this insider trading? How much control did Ceverha have in assisting the purchase? This isn't something that Lon Burnam should have to do on his own either.
Smith should absolutely give up the tainted donations. That money should go to charities benefiting the people of Texas who were robbed.
John you are truly deserving of your name Courage. I'm going to fight right along side of you all the way. No free ride for Lamar Smith. You're the man who should hold that office in Congress. You will represent the people better, and that's what a Congressman gets elected to do. Listen to his constituents and represent their needs.
Congress needs good men and women with your backbone right now. We can't wait until 2008, we need to get this country back on track now.
CD21 is a district we can win. Lamar Smith's poll numbers were just run and he is such a good target. On the one hand you have a 20 year do nothing incumbent, who voted 95% of the time with Tom DeLay. He's a Tom DeLay clone, including some of his lapses in ethics. On the other hand you have a veteran, an educator, a family man, a decent man of conviction. Courage is running for Congress to represent the values that embody our community--family, faith, freedom, and fairness.
We need your help to retire Lamar Smith and send him home to Cape Cod. Give John a 1st place vote please.

I'll bring the stakes!
I'm still convinced that this guy is a republican operative. If we could only trace the filing money.
