    Hey Rage...

I hope your baby girl is doing well!

You are quite the story... I dont think I could have coped as well as you did, if I ever found myself in your shoes.

Someday, I hope, stories like yours are the norm...instead of the norm being the deadbeat Dads that are all over the place.

    Good luck to you !

but there have been at least 2 occassions where I have been uncivil... where you called me on it.

You, on the other hand.... have ALWAYS  been civil.

I should have called you out in my diary... apologies!

    And good luck to you!!

As per this blog's guidelines, personal attacks on another blogger are a no-no.

Therefore, your statement that I "lied" warrants a troll rating.

I could ask you to back it up, but I am not interested in your explanations.

I would like to remind you, Mr Adams, that you had voluntarily offered to stay away (I think the actual expression you had used was less polite) from me... and that by commenting here, you are violating that pledge that you had made of your own free will !

I should also remind you that sockpuppetry is generally frowned upon!!

Good day to you, Mr Adams... one of my pleasures, in bidding farewell, is that I will never hear from you again !

Yes, I have no doubt that many people would prefer that the US never elect a black man...because that would confirm their opinions of the US as being a country that could never elect a black man.

Of course, things are not that different in Australia, are they ?

In 2002, I was in New Zealand... we were driving through an obscure little town close to Invercargill in the South Island, and we stopped at the only gas station...

And the owner there started shouting at us when he realized where we were from.  I had to promise him that we were not Bush supporters before he would fill us up.

But then again, in 1998, I was visiting a friend in the Swiss Alps.  We went to his village tavern, where some patrons politely asked me why Americans liked to kill babies (this was during the Balkan campaign).  I nearly got into a fight when, in reply, I wondered why they were wasting their time with the French wine when they could be savoring the abricotine that the Swiss excel at.

I doubt if attitudes towards the US will change all that dramatically after Bush is gone....

    Oh dear Mr Adams!

"all of the other stuff", as you put it, was posted in response to numerous queries you have made, wherein you demanded that I express an opinion on Kashmir.

I had thought that you would have figured that out!

Good luck with your "very good instincts"... perhaps you too can look a man in the eye, and gauge his soul!

Damn... I shoulda called you out in the diary.

    Apologies =)

And good luck to you !

    Thank you Shaun =)

And I wish I had chosen to move to Australia as a young man.. the country where they play the best cricket (if you enjoy cricket, that is) and where 3 minute showers are the norm, and where a lazy afternoon Sun can be enjoyed by all.

I like your answer "a heart big enough to embrace two peoples"... I think I will use it liberally; thanks for letting me use it.

And yes, indeed, sometimes I have argued with you over fine details even though we have agreed on the broader points.  It was fun, from my viewpoint.  Thank you for indulging me!

    Thanks.

Right now, I am in a "no-citizenship" status.  They took my papers away when I applied for a US passport.  And my old Indian passport is no good.. I have to apply for a new set of papers once my US passport arrives !

    Well, thanks for that comparison.

My next job is hardly in that league, however.. but thanks anyways !!

I hope you will remain a thoughtful Obama supporter.  And I genuinely hope that your candidate becomes all that you hope from him !!
