If it ended then, the news would have all been McCain because there would have been nothing else to talk about. That could have given more attention to McCain and possibly helped him (though i doubt it would have been enough).
Clinton staying in kept the focus on Democratic principals, and a focus on the two powerhouses in the Democratic party.
He wrote something on HuffPo about how the rail system was nationalized then reprivatized. It will probably be a good idea. But there's just SOOO much wrong with everything that I dont think any plan that has been proposed is the right solution.
