Merkley knows the importance of getting a working majority in the Senate. By electing Martin, our chances can only get better at passing major reforms like UHC.

We are all celebrating here at Merkley HQ. The margin should grow overnight as Multnomah County results will continue to trickle in.

Update, we're only 1,238 votes behind now with tens of thousands more votes still needing to be counted in Multnomah and Lane Counties.

We had a very hardworking staff, but in particular, we had AMAZING vols who came in even when they were sick to make phonecalls. Jeff said awhile back that the vols for the campaign were the heart and soul of the campaign.

A ton of ballots came in to Multnomah County yesterday and the process takes longer because they have to verify every single signature on the ballot envelope.  

Heh. Just took a power nap in my car. ;)

More numbers will be dropping any moment now. These will be from Multnomah, Lane and Marion Counties.

It's gonna be slow going all day when it comes to returns, but what we are seeing...we like!

Thanks! Jeff is heading to HQ in just a minute to rally the troops for the last night before the election. It's amazing to see all the volunteers show up to canvass in this crazy weather we're having. It's truly inspiring!

Merkley definitely has the momentum in the race for the Oregon Senate seat. But, that just means we're going to be hit even harder by the rightwing attack machine. Merkley is getting hit with a ton of robocalls, and the rightwing groups are spending millions airing attack ads. We're going to have to work doubly hard to counter these smear tactics and make sure our message gets out to voters.

This is so wonderful for Merkley! Smith has been airing misleading ads featuring Obama. Now, that Obama aired this ad, there will be no question in the minds of Oregonians who Obama supports for Senate.

Al Gore is loved by folks in the NW (like me!), last time he came to Oregon, his event sold out really fast. We're holding this Friday's event at the Oregon Convention Center, so there should be enough room for everybody.
