It is not Obama's fault that the media would pay so much attention to a worthless story. It is Edward's fault that that he risked another four years of republicanism since if he had won the nomination and his indiscretion had come to light in October 08 we would have been screwed.
Should not be hard to try to figure out the secret program: 1- CIA is required to work abroad- would they have breach they charter domestically? Also they are either passive or active. It would be an active plan that would create a stir-if we take the statements at face value that it was not torture, assasinations or eavesdropping (what the hell to spies do anyway)- we are left with an active operation on foreign soil involving another entity. I think the 'other' entity is key-are we passing secrets to Israel? Some GOP members thought the misconduct was no big deal- this would fit that- Thoughts?
Moran is an opportunistic self dealing politician whose devotion to progressivism are directly proportional to the chances of getting elected- check is record as a prosecutor. McCauliffe is by far the more progressive candidate which is why he leads overwhelmingly with the black vote.
BEST.SHOW.EVER. Season 4 cannot be missed. Deadwood is up there too. We should not dismiss some of the 60's sit-coms with their excellent social commentary. The Oakland idea is excellent. Dellums is wrong - the show will destigmitize the issues, perhaps bring proposals and certainly help the coffers. What it will not do is bring down Oakland. In fact, Baltimore's reputation after The Wire improved in many ways and funding became easier to get in Annapolis.
The point here is to clean up the media narrative. No doubt the Chief Justice was nervous and made a small error; I would tend to think he would see the post cards as humorous. But if AP had to report that the Chief Justice had received 1000 post cards, it will counter their own reporting.
60 matters- but the nuclear option debate essentially killed the filibuster on important matters. The real problem in the Senate today is the split: 51-49, with you know who making it a 50-50 senate and making Cheney the tiebreaker. But next senate, on important matters, when we have 57-58 votes; all we have to do is to threaten the filibuster away to prevent it.
