Let's show them what organizing looks like...

Here is a letter that I sent today to friends and family in support of our candidate Barack Obama. Feel free to modify it and use the text yourself, or write your own and post it here for others to read. But please give, and then encourage others to give.
Apparently the GOP doesn't know what organizing is.
Let's show them.
My letter is after the fold...
Hey,
At the Republican convention, John McCain's attack squad of negative, cynical politicians lied about Barack Obama and Joe Biden, and they attacked us for being a part of this campaign.
They mocked community organizing, belittling the idea that ordinary people could come together and make a difference in their world for themselves and their neighbors, all the while waving "Prosperity" signs. They laughed at the idea that Obama's story could only happen in America, as if to say, "Whoops, well even in America, accidents happen." They mocked, derided, and ridiculed the notion that together we the people could make a difference and instead told us that the hope of America is business.
As such they promised "change" by laying out the very same tax plan we have today. It is a tax plan that gives tax cuts to business with the admirable goal of seeing business grow and jobs created. The only problem is that it hasn't worked. Businesses continue to grow, but ship their jobs overseas with no consequences from our government. And so people struggle to keep their bills paid and their kids fed and they don't have money for the things the businesses make. Then business shrinks and the market hits a lull. This is exactly what we are seeing now. And this is precisely what they promised us four more years of last night.
They spoke in grand language about changing the government and moving away from "east coast elites." But many of them ARE east coast elites. Two of the harshest critics were Mitt Romney and Rudy Gulliani - both men who are well off and led large, east-coast, left-leaning governments. So why did they talk about east coast elites? Because they are trying to drum up fear, resentment, and hatred and then direct that not at the people who have run our country in to the ground (that is, they themselves!) but at Obama who promises real change for a broken down system.
Mitt Romney even said, and I quote, "We need change all right - change from a liberal Washington to a conservative Washington! We have a prescription for every American who wants change in Washington - throw out the big government liberals and elect John McCain." The thing is, liberals won't be thrown out if McCain gets in. McCain's roll model George W. Bush will be thrown out - a president who shares McCain's position on taxes, foreign policy, torture, immigration, same-sex marriage, domestic programs, education, etc.
The GOP last night was speaking about a government that isn't ours to an America that isn't real. The truth is that our economy and name abroad have not been destroyed by "liberals." They have been wrecked by the very failed policies that Mitt Romney, Rudy Gulliani, Sarah Palin and especially John McCain have endorsed.
Don't be fooled. Don't give in to this cynical ploy laid out by people who think YOU are too stupid to see through the smoke screen. Say today that you've had ENOUGH!
