It's not war you need, stupid. It's better intelligence.

I am as mad at Islamic fanatics as any jingoistic fool out there who thinks by huffing and puffing every second about terrorists and wanting to invade every freaking country, he is showing utmost patriotism.
You know, is it unreasonable to expect a Nigerian whose own dad complained about him to the US not to get a travel visa to the US? Like I said, all this bullshit about TSA regulations and war on terror was nothing but a joke. Overkill when basic common sense was needed to take care of these issues. This is basic common sense. While we spend trillions on wars that do little to solve the issue, and while we spend billions and inconvenience many people on flights in the name of security, we do not do enough in upgrading intelligence and sharing intelligence among different agencies. There is no accountability in government and there is not enough people in government who refrain from acting dumb.
People like Lieberman keep foolishly saying idoitic things like "Iraq was yesterday's war, Afghanistan was today's war, and Yemen is tomorrow's war". NO STUPID. Iraq was not a war of any era. Afghanistan MAY have been yesterday's war and it is definitely not today's war. And Yemen is definitely not going to be part of a war if anyone has any iota of common sense. That kind of talk strikes no fear in the hearts of those crazies out there.
We should also not even think of these regions in terms of war, but strategic operations at best. A conventional army doesn't work. You need an army of intelligence gatherers, subtle diplomats, people who actually know how to parse and interpret data. Rumsfeld had a point in terms of smaller more flexible armies, but I don't know if he ever meant exactly what he said when he was onboard for invasions that would require way too many of those smaller flexible army units. Politicians who know how to set up a smart game plan and do things behind the scenes so cleverly the enemy won't know what hit them. We need to spend our money and other resources more wisely or we risk becoming a nation so mediocre, a possible indifference to America borne out of increasing decline becomes our security measure.
