Do you really think he would be a bad choice? I'm willing to admit that BOTH candidates would be fine in this role (3 am phone call answerer). I seriously doubt that I would have an "Oh, shit." moment with either of them.
The stupidest spin is that Obama WON'T win states such as NY and CA in the GE. Most of us still believe in Democracy and believe that the candidate with the most votes (pledged delegates) wins. This argument you present says that we should only be counting the voters in some states. That is stupid spin.
I rec'd this diary because I think it is some of the best snark I've seen in ages. If it ain't snark (which seems to be possible based on some of the comments), then I think it is the best example of someone being out of touch with reality I have seen in ages. Either way it deserves to be on the recommended list here at MyDD.
REgarding Obama winning right now you are wrong. There are something like 320 Undeclared SuperDelegates and Obama has about 1270 Pledged and Super right now (only about 1110 pledged). If you add 320 to either number you come up short of the 2024 needed to win.
Fuzzy Math? I was trying to use the best numbers available. Also, I'm trying to show that most people, particularly in the MSM, are using fuzzy math to calculate their numbers. The only numbers that count right now are the pledged delegates. The SuperDelegates will be very important as we get closer to the convention.
Can you show me where to find better numbers?
It's funny that you listed Erin Burger as the contact for Hillary in Cincinnati. I'm actually a friend of hers!
