• has the audacity to support one of the candidates platforms.

Its funny - they've been saying they wouldn't endorse for months now. I guess its finally sinking in to the media.

  • for a while now. Maybe after the NC primary some of the savagery will die down. I hope so, John and Elizabeth deserve a lot better. The nastiness shows in part I think why they chose not to endorse.

I wonder how much we will hear about poverty from either candidate after tomorrow?

Once we do have a nominee, both John and Elizabeth will be assets in framing the debate against the Republicans. I have a strong feeling they will be leading the way on progressive issues then, just as they did while John was running for the nomination.

and still wondering if its snark.

By any imagineable statistical standard, those who educated with a college degree or beyond have a better chance of making it than those who don't.

Try backing this up - I'd love to see the rationale:

"America is the only country in the world where being educated and cultured actually LOWERS your social and political standing.

There are few groups more discriminated against in America than the educated."

You seem to be REALLY out of touch.

didn't seem to matter much to the good people of Pennsylvania

  • with all of Obama's real advantages right now, and the math working so hard against Hillary, it seems pretty down to realistically play down expectations for him in PA, or anywhere for that matter.

The argument before Ohio and Texas was that if Obama had enough time, he could bury Hillary with money and organization as more got to know him, but it didn't turn out that way. Looking like the same thing in PA.

I'm not really sure how his campaign explains a loss. Chalkiing it up to Hillary's institutional support doesn't quite pass the smell test with all his campaign has thrown into the primary.

of this nature, that seriously address issues without bashing any one candidate have almost zero chance of making the rec list.

if you like Obama love fest diaries, I guess you're happy with non-supporters boycotting. Instead of 95% pro-Obama, hate-Clinton diaries, it moves to 99%.

I guess for some thats a good thing.

DKos has become even more of an echo chamber.

  • Only after denying it ever came out from his campaign on Larry King, and then retracting that when Larry pulled a copy of the memo out.

I'm not naive enough to think he had no idea what his SC campaign was doing days before the primary. Obama seems perfectly willing to use race when it suits him and then deny it when it gets out in the open.

Thanks for posting this Pioneer and for the front page help Todd.

Charlie stayed for 2 hours yesterday answering all sorts of questions from Iraq to a green economy to health care.

If you have a chance, go check it out. Especially since the incumbent has retired, Charlie has a real chance at winning and adding another strong progressive voice to Congress.

  • maybe you missed the memo put out in South Carolina by the Obama campaign? Its pretty clear what the message was they were trying to get across:

  • comment on a post Edwards lays into Obama over 4 years ago

"I understood his appeal. It was the same appeal that the military bases back in Hawaii always held for me as a young boy, with their tidy streets and well-oiled machinery, the crisp uniforms and crisper salutes.... Reagan spoke to America's longing for order, our need to believe that we are not subject to blind, impersonal forces, but that we can shape our individual and collective destinies. So long as we rediscover the traditional values of hard work, patriotism, personal responsibility, optimism, and faith."

a complete misunderstanding of Reagan. Does he really think the Reagan years wre about accountability?

  • I just don't buy they went to McCain solely because they thought Obama had it in the bag.
