I don't know how serious the rumors about Obama thinking about Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State are. Is it a strong consideration or is it more along the lines or just making sure doesn't rule out the possibility out of hand. However, it does appear they did meet in Chicago yesterday. At least according to CNN.

Looks like the meeting was held at Obama's request and that Hillary, "...knew Obama wanted to talk about whether she would have a role in the administration."

I guess the question is whether Obama wanted to talk about offering a cabinet position or if he just wanted to talk in general about what type of role he would like for her to play.
He may have wanted to meet in person to find out if she would be interested and be willing to go through the vetting process and such.
She may not even have an interest in serving as a cabinet member.
Or he could have wanted to meet in person to let her know he wouldn't be offering her a cabinet position, but what role she could be a great help in as a member of the Senate.
I guess either way, it's good that they meet in person rather then discussing things over the phone.  

The thing I find amazing is that with the press following Obama's every move, they were able to meet without the media finding out about it. Well, at least until it was leaked out today.
