Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

"Don't make excuses for her, That was pathetic"

That was the line of the day.

I know diaries are supposed to be more than this but the video stands on it's own.

Edit: I have more to add now after watching the interview again. Look at the interview, she is looking at notes and reading her prepared talking points. Open in case of emergency! Lower Taxes Health Care Reform Main Street America Pro-Growth Middle Class Reign in spending Free Trade is good, not scary, 1 in 5 jobs Jobs Creation Shore up our economy She was so lost she just started reading the highlights of her talking points.

I hadn't listened to the Couric interview before. When it started, I was cringing. By the time it was of I was ROTFLMAO. Unbelievable, even by wingnut standards.

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

I don't know if I find it laughable or scary... I capitulate between the two.

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

I was honestly uncomfortable watching the interview.

I was shocked as she looked down at a peice of paper that had these notes on it....

Open in case of emergency!

1.  Lower Taxes

  1.  Health Care Reform
  2.  Main Street America
  3.  Pro-Growth
  4.  Middle Class
  5.  Reign in spending
  6.  Free Trade is good, not scary, 1 in 5 jobs
  7.  Jobs Creation
9   Shore up our economy

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

Cafferty's expression is priceless, as is, "Did you get that?"

Holy random conflated talking points, Batman!

Was it just me or did nothing she said have any relation to any other thing she said, except that they were all words in the English language?

Uh Oh...

Nancy K is now heading to your house ...

She is going to cut and paste you into oblivion for smearing The Palin!

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

No doubt about it, Palin is a Rookie.

What's Biden's excuse?

"Part of what a leader does is to instill confidence, to demonstrate that he or she knows what they're (sic) talking about .... stock market crash, Franklin Roosevelt got on television and didn't just talk about, you know, the princes of greed, he said, "Look, here's what happened..."

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

Yah mean, he said Television when he meant Radio?

This is comparable to explaining US-Russian policy as some version of Eye-Spy with my little Eye?

by WashStateBlue 2008-09-26 02:12PM | 0 recs
Blunder after blunder

That, and the fact that Rooservelt wasn't the "leader" at the time of the crash.

Then there's the incident when he dogged his own campaign for the McCain "email commercial."

by soyousay 2008-09-26 02:34PM | 0 recs
There's a big difference

between verbal gaffes, and ignorance. Palin isn't stupid, but she's ignorant of what she needs to know to be President, and the same cannot be said of Biden. Your comparison is a joke.

Re: There's a big difference

Just ignorant? How about earth-shatteringly CLUELESS? Just how OBLIVIOUS of current day events - like the global economy caving in around you - does one have to be to not even have an OPINION on your own team's Wall St. bailout plan?

And just how stupid does she regard everyone else, to pass off being "neighbors" with Russia as equivalent to possessing foreign policy experience? And here I was thinking that the Republicans pretty much bottomed out when they brought us Dan Quayle. Did they save the best for last, or what?

I'd love to know exactly WHAT she did to win over the average Alaskan? (And given their gubernatorial choice, I'm being VERY generous with the term "average") Or are they so women-starved in those frontier lands that they'd vote for anything in a skirt?

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

Out of possibly ten or twebty thousand times that Biden has spoken with the media or constituents he slips and says television instead of radio. Percentage wise Palin has a track record that makes me feel like a genius. You must be feeling like God herself.

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

There's the incident where he told the story of being "forced down" in Afghanistan but emmitted the facted that he was "forced down" due to a snow storm.

Nit picky BS compared to a sizzing calderon of empty knowledge irraditing from Palin.

God, you're just awful.

Didn't you once back Senator Clinton?

What happened to your brain?

"Nit picky BS?" If McCain made these type of errors you would most likely call him senile.
God, you're just awful.
FYI; I'm not God
Didn't you once back Senator Clinton?
Yes, now I don't back anyone.
What happened to your brain?
It's still intact because the pod people haven't taken it yet.

Votes are still being tallied, but without a late rally, it's running about 98-2 against that proposition....

You don't back anyone?

Hard to tell that from your comments.  At least when I backed McCain I wasn't afraid to say so.

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

The problem with your comparison, of course, is that Palin is actually trying to justify (or maybe invent) her position on a piece of legislation that will affect millions of Americans, whereas Biden's departure into fantasy is harmless.  But keep spinning.

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

We're you one of the people who were bent out of shape with Hillary's "departure into fantasy?" I bet you didn't think that was harmless.

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

And, weren't you one of the people that backed an intelligent strong liberal candidate for President?

So, were you faking it then, or are you just deluded now?

by WashStateBlue 2008-09-26 02:43PM | 0 recs
hypocrite

"Weren't ou one of the people" who didn't think that candidate was "strong and intelligent?"

Re: hypocrite

Dead WRONG...

FIND ONE POST where I said anything like that about Clinton....

My greatest sin with the Clinton folks was a diary I wrote where they claimed I was saying she was Machievellian with the VP pick....

I would expect you to check out my history, and apoligize, cause you are so far off, but you are not the type to ever admit you are wrong, it seems...

Questions...

....you supported Clinton and didn't think she was a racist?

Do you believe that most at mydd agree with you on Clinton?

by soyousay 2008-09-27 09:27AM | 0 recs
Re: Questions...

Check my history.

I supported Obama, but thought the attacks on Bill and Hillary for Racism were bullcrap.

I think Bill's statement In SC was dumb, but not racist.

She was my second choice for VP, after Gen Clark.

My statement was, during the primary, though I was for Obama, I would crawl over broken glass to vote for Senator Clinton had she prevailed.

And, what, I am in charge of the other Obama supporters?

There are Kool-aid drinkers on BOTH sides, I was not one of them.

I am a democrat, first last and always.

I have my doubts about you.

Re: Questions...

I'll take your word for it because you really haven't written anything radical that I can recall. In reference to being a Democrat; I've been a registered Democrat all my life and an independent thinker for the same amount of time. I can also say that I'm fine with you and others having doubts about where I stand with the Democratic party because I'm really not sure at this point but still feel that I lean more Democrat than republican. I've never voted for a Republican btw. What's important to me is what's best for the country. Recently, I've become extremely disappointed in both parties.

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

Well, which is it - are you better than the rest of us or just as shallow as you imagine us to be?

Re: Jack takes Wolf to wood shed, Palin too..

I choose A...."better than the rest of us" Thanks for noticing.

In reference to imagining that you're shallow; not really, I just see you as hypocrites. You flip at the drop of a hat if you see a issue/situation politically beneficial to Obama.

Who would win in arm wrestling?

Jack Cafferty or God?

TRICK QUESTION!

Jack Cafferty IS God!!!

I've loved this guy since forever when he was on (help me here NYC/NJ'ers WWOR ch.9?, or WPIX ch 11?)

Man could this guy used to drink.

Palin is by far the worst nominee

on a ticket in a long long time.  The VP selections were really what resulted in me changing my support from McCain to Obama.

'Nuff Said

I don't think the Palin problem is fixable. She is who she is: an unqualified fundamentalist liar with no knowledge of or experience in national domestic or foreign policy. And McCain had absolutely no idea who she was when he picked her.
