Also, ever since Chris Matthews had to apologize for his remarks in reference to Hillary Clinton, it seems to me that he comes off angry when talking about Hillary. Must be payback time for having to apologize.

George H.W. Bush was convinced that he was losing to Bill Clinton because of media bias.  His folks had bumper stickers that said, "Annoy the media. Vote Bush."

He was another candidate promoting experience when the time was for a change election.

What does this tell you? The losing candidate always thinks she or he is losing because of the media.

Dean and Deluca right across the street from 30 Rock. Yummy pastry and sandwiches, decent soup.
Too cramped to eat in.
Or downstairs 30 Rock is
1. a Starbucks,
2. in a hidden area is Tuscan Square with good Italian sanwiches pastry and coffee. I do NOT recommend the upstairs Tuscan Square Restaurant - overpriced bland food.
3. Cacina is second rate.
4. Rock Center Cafe is pretty good sit down. It waxes expensive.
5. Sea Grill is posh. Food isn't exceptional, but the ambiance is.
6. Down the street, Mangia has decent take out sandwiches and pastry. 21 East 47th
You are 2 blocks away from MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) Fairly decent cafeteria and cafe. (You have to pay admission to the museum to get in)
There is a Szechuan restaurant - with an unbelievably yummy fish dish - crispy fish in pork sauce, and their mixed vegetables are good as well.
The tourist stuff like beef and broccoli are bland, and their other fish dishes aren't that great, tho they get good reviews for the Szechuan dishes.
Wu Liang Ye 36 W. 48th (grungy exterior, but hugely popular place)
Finally, the New York Magazine Restaurant Guide is on the web and their critics rated restaurants are usually pretty good.

Be sure to look at the lobby of 30 Rock. Very cool frescos. Interesting story behind them. The exterior frescos are fascinating. There is a really nice one on the 5th avenue side of 30 Rock.
The Top of the Rock is touristy, expensive, fun and cool. I recommend it.
One other thing that might be of interest:
The Central Park Zoo is a longish walk from 30 Rock (Central Park is a must see though).
What is great about this little zoo is the Penguin Aquarium. The penguins are behind a glass wall, and swim and dive a few inches from your face. It is fascinating. Over the walkway, outside the zoo, on the hour, an old clock chimes, as bronze animals parade around, just as they did for children a century ago.
The park is great for exploring. Strawberry Fields is groovy. See if you can find Cleopatra's Needle. Yes, the original!

Sure, the media folks talked about HRC crying. What else would you expect? In 1972, Ed Muskie was driven from the presidential race because he cried. In 2008, any presidential candidate would get a lot of scrutiny for crying.

And Olbermann?  He was focusing on Ferraro's comments, which HRC herself repudiated, but his remarks came before she did so.

I loved the clip of HRC saying the Bush administration should be held accountable, but I am saddened that she didn't do so when it really would have mattered.

Why don't you go and protest outside of the UN over the complete lack of attention to the many rape victims in Iraq.  American and Iraq women.

Hamster, I saw this video yesterday, and I felt like crying. This is all so true...like we're in some crazy world of distortion. When you have the brightest and most experienced candidate and you hear those MSM folks...If this is not misogyny, than what is? And since the MSM is not going to jump on the story(since they are the story) like they do those other "stories", it's like the beatings can go on unchallenged. That first video is one of the worst candidate video mash-ups I've ever seen.

It makes Hillary look bad. It also lumps people who have made pointed criticisms (even valid ones) against HRC's campaign (even if you or I might disagree with those criticisms) with those who have made sexist and offensive remarks. There's just no perspective here.

I agree with the poster who said this gives feminism a bad name.

But then, every feminist I know is voting for Obama (that doesn't mean that we don't all see the blatant sexism that has been demonstrated in this campaign, some of which has been captured in the first video).

As I've said to both sides in this race: if you really want to attack the sexism and racism at work in this campaign you have to do it OUTSIDE of  the candidate wars (because the candidate wars have been one of the primary ways in which race and gender have been injected into this race). Race and gender are not about a person named Barack or one named Hillary. It's so much bigger than that and you can easily draw that out in this race without turning it into a candidate war. My two cents.

I think the idea of brining attention to the gender bias in the media is a great idea. Protesting this is a very fitting way to voice your opinion and bring this issue out. On the other hand, why convolute a clear issue by tacking on the unrelated "We demand Florida & Michigan votes COUNT as cast"?

Keep the focus on a single issue. I have not seen anything that shows FL and MI are directly related to gender issues. Adding MI and FL makes it seem like the protest is against Hillary being in a weak position to win the nomination.
