KOS is an echo chamber. It's probably got more to do more with the size and popularity of the site than anything. Despite the current internal squabbles, which involve a few that need to get off of the speeders, this is a more accepting community. It's smaller, more scientific, less partisan and, hence, more greatly representative of the broader progressive political spectrum - kinda like living in the country forty years ago without the Repug a-holes.

Is that on MyDD people are a lot slower to rate up or down.

On dKos, a lot of folks will rate someone down on a legitimate comment because they disagree with it, or they just don't like the poster.

I have seen very, very few bad ratings handed out on MyDD.

So, for all the crap these guys give each other, for the most part they try to stay sane.
