Introducing Andrew Concannon...
Dave Camp recently gave $400,000 to the Republican efforts for 2008. He has served in the House since 1990, and like many of his fellow Michigan Republicans, he hasn't done a thing for its people.
The only thing he knows how to do is vote yes when Bush asks him to.
It is time for a change...follow me after the jump to learn more about Andy.

The Blue Dog Democrats are derailing any substantive efforts to get our troops out of Iraq. They are taking a cynical approach of punting while hiding behind their supposed conservative constituencies.
They claim they represent the "middle," even though polls show a majority of Americans support the Murtha plan.
So perhaps it is time to turn up the heat on the Blue Dogs, DFA style.
During the months leading up to the Iowa caucus, thousands of Dean supporters wrote hand written letters to Democratic Voters in Iowa, explaining why they supported Gov. Dean.
We should organize a similar effort for registered voters in Blue Dog districts...

There has been much speculation throughout the blogsphere that the Democrats are underperforming in national pools. Many more have discussed the importance of making this election national to take advantage of all the corruption and problems with the Republicans.
But what if the answer is going local?

As the Robert Kennedy, Jr. Rolling Stone article"Was the 2004 Election Stolen?" makes its way through the blogsphere's collective consciousness, it becomes clear that the Republicans have a modus operandi when it comes to elections.
You would be a fool to not believe that Michigan will receive the same special treatment that Ohio and Florida before it has experienced.
When you consider that many Democratic precincts state wide have much greater number of voters packed in than the Republican precincts, it should be clear to anyone that it is impossible for full turnout to occur.
Let's look at the numbers:

It is clear that the response since Sept. 11th has gotten worse, not better.
The war in Iraq has highlighted the inability of US forces to engage in an agressive war against terrorism. Our troops are bogged down in a poorly planned and uneccessary war while they are slowly bled dry.
The response to Katrina will only give Al Qaeda more reason to attack us here...

This is Instant Transferable Voting.
This poll includes 28 candidates which includes all the usual suspect (except Dean who has said he will not run!).

Michigan Manufacturers Association Supports Granholm's Tax plan
Governor Granholm is in a battle of misinformation with the intransigent Republican controlled legislature. She has propsed an overhaul of the tax plan that would stimulate job growth and encourage high tech industries to relocate to our state.
It is the beating over this issue that has caused her poll numbers to plumet, as the Republicans use the pavlovian phrase "taxes" to wicked success.
The MMA has come out in favor of the Governor's plan as they recognize several key facts that Republicans won't admit to.

This diary is in response to the Red CD diary on the main page.
As I stated in that diary, we need to be able to attract quality candidates to run in these Repug districts.
In order to do so, we need to make it attractive for someone to run.
How do we do that? Simple....it's called money!

As expected, the attack has begun.
The Yahoo story about dean winning the Chair is getting ver low ratings. Only 50 some people have rated it so far and it's down to 1.5 and change...
Go add your two cents worth and rate it high.
Don't let these punks control information!
They already got it to drop from the front page....but Kossians have put it back on....now put it over the top!
