The way Shays runs these meetings is something else.  He's very good at controlling the conversation from start to finish.  

I'm saying that most Obama supporters aren't rich elitist trust fund babies.

My background is in nonprofit work.  I understand you don't do this sort of thing to become wealthy.  And I understand that most organizations have to rely on unpaid internships.  I've been a volunteer and I've been an intern.  That kind of support is invaluable.

My point is that the Obama campaign is in a position to offer an actual fellowship, and I wish they'd gone ahead and done that.

FWIW I voted for Obama in the primary.

We asked and you delivered.  This morning the Presumptive Nominee Fund for President had had raised just  $448 from 20 contributors.  Today ActBlue Democrats responded to our call to action.  As of this post the fund had raised $4,510 from 84 people.  The Start Fighting Now page alone has raised $4,013!

Good question.  If the nominee accepts public financing the money will go to the DNC, which will help thousands of Democrats across the country, including the nominee.

I can understand the concern.  But I'm also tired of tip toeing around this.  What has continuing this charade gotten us?

I can understand where Gunterman is coming from.  Personally, I'd rather people say who they're supporting and why.    

But I do think we'll see more of these disagreements and I think it's important to consider how we deal with them.  Beyond that I have no conclusions.  

I don't think they should remain neutral either.  

I don't mean to be reflexive.  I'm just skeptical whenever the discussion comes from a traditional media outlet.  

Nah, just idealistic.

Skipping one debate is one thing.  Skipping several is quite another.  I think it's a pattern worth pointing out and keeping an eye on.
