Workers taking over their union is not a new story, but it is what we from time to time have to do.

I support your move to build a democratically based union of the workers, by the workers and for the workers.

Stern has seriously missed the purpose and value of unionization. It is for the betterment of the worker and the worker's society. Not for the aggrandizement of Andy Stern.

We all need union representation. We all can work together. The unions do it at my hospital. But our unions must understand our distinct needs and obligations and fight for them. SIEU has a poor record of doing that for nurses and patients.

What is unbelievable and appalling is SEIU's continued denial of their inappropriate aggression at the Labor Notes Conference.

It is a black eye for all of Labor. It is one of the reasons my fellow Southern Californians, who are conservative and wary of unions to begin with, even more so now, want nothing to do with unions. Especially SEIU.
