And his supporters need to quit telling us what we need to do.
IF he wins the nomination, how about what HE needs to do. HE needs to win us over. Telling us to suck it up because we have no other choice just isn't going to work. Threatening us with Roe vs. Wade isn't going to work either because the last time I looked we still had the Senate. And if Senator Reid thinks that he can't keep an anti-abortion, right-wing neo-con off the court when he has a Dem majority then he is too weak for the job and we have bigger problems than just Roe vs. Wade.
We women aren't stupid and the Obama campaign can start walking that Supreme Court nominee nonsense back starting now. No one is falling for it.
I'm talking about fighting for the American Public in general not the gas tax. What will Senator Obama fight for? What has he fought for? What has he put his reputation, his political capital on the line for? I'm not talking about a speech, I'm talking about votes.
I certainly don't expect any President to do anything single handedly but I do expect them to make a fight of it. I'm tired of Dems taking a look at an issue, saying that there is no way to win this fight then giving up before beginning.
There are times that you'll fight and there is no way to win it at this time. But if you start the fight and keep up the fight someone else might win it for you. I know that I'm glad that the abolitionists never gave up the fight.
"Economists are elitists?"
I spent two years working at the Bureau of Economic Analysis. There are a lot of great Economists but there are a lot of elitists too. Seen them, heard them.
"Wall Street is made of money grubbers?"
Yes.
"Obama's Chicago Church is associated with Hamas and Farrakhan?"

The latest Jeremiah Wright Jr. controversy: He used his regular space in the church newsletter to reprint an essay by Mousa Abu Marzooka, the deputy of the political bureau of Hamas, that first appeared as an Op-Ed in the Los Angeles Times.
I spent 8 days in CT GOTV for Lamont when he ran. 4 days for the primaries and 4 for the General.
His winning the primary showed the Dems that taking an anti-war stance was not going to kill their careers. That primary gave cover to every Dem to come out against this war.
In the General, Rove had the Repubs actively support Lieberman. They undercut their own candidate to get a Lieberman win. Lamont was a great candidate and it wasn't the left wing bloggers that lost us this election it was Rove and the Repubs.
right now. I think that the candidates internals are calling it a close election right now because Governor Rendell is saying Senator Clinton will win by 5-10% and Senator Obama says she will win by 20%. With the average of the polls saying that it'll be a closer race and the above expectation spinning going on right now leads me to believe that SUSA is an outlier no matter how much I'd love to believe it.
Everybody should go home a hoist a beverage of choice to their favorite candidate. I know I am. Being on the net most of the week is making me anxious. I hope to come back with a fresh attitude come Monday. Peace.
About his pastor, I really don't think that it's the racism. I really think it's the anti-patriotism. "Go* Dam* America" is rattling through everyone's head right now.
I'm a Hillary supporter but I'm going to be voting for the candidate with the D after their name even if it is Obama. I will not be participate in tearing down my party in the name of purity or hate. I absolutely refuse to allow McCain and the Republican machine keep on trashing the United States.
I'm sure that others, like myself, feel very emotional about their candidates right now but after the convention we're going to have to come together as a team to kick some R butt.
That the only reason that Obama is down in WV is because they are racist.
My own feeling, being from the Pittsburgh region, is that people don't like to be talked down to. Nobody likes to be told that they aren't smart enough or educated enough to know what they really need then be called racist because they have different views from people who hold Ivy League degrees. That's what you get when you call people "Archie Bunker type" voters.
I think that people who are practical people, who work hard every day in blue collar jobs, will have an easier time identifying with someone who they have evaluated to understand where they are coming from and the problems that they have in their life and offer concrete plans to tackle those issues.
But no, I think your correct. They're just a bunch of racist fools. snark

When you run for election you make the case for yourself and against the other guy.
Obama has done the same. Why is it that it's okay for Obama to differentiate himself from Clinton but when Clinton does it she's evil?

The lower Appalachians (Cambria County) advertises the place as the Laural Highlands if I remember correctly. Totally off topic I know.
But to the Author of this post, I think that you're spot on.
But calling someone an idiot is not helping the situation.
