Oregon: 50 Elected Official Endorse Hillary Today

Building on the momentum across the country for Hillary, today the Hillary Clinton campaign announced the endorsement of 50 Elected Officials in Oregon.

"I am grateful to have such strong support across all of Oregon," said Senator Hillary Clinton. "I am committed to talking about the issues that matter to Oregonians - from creating new 'green collar' jobs, to protecting our environment and standing up for Oregon's rural communities."

"After eight years of George W. Bush, we need a President who can immediately start to clean up his mess and start solving problems again," said Eugene State Representative Sara Gelser. "I'm supporting Hillary because she is the candidate who is best suited to beat John McCain in the fall and bring our country back."

"I believe that Hillary Clinton is the best choice for all Oregonians," said Milwaukie Mayor Jim Bernard. "Throughout this primary, she has listened to Oregonians.  Her Oregon Compact reflects the knowledge and experience that comes from decades in public service.  And her proposal for two Oregon debates shows that she is not taking our state for granted.   I couldn't be prouder to be supporting Hillary."

"I'm proud to be standing with Hillary," said Greenhorn Mayor Frances Villwock. "Hillary has been fighting for change for the past 35 years and I know she is our best candidate to take on the Republicans in November. Hillary is also the only candidate with a plan for truly universal healthcare."

"Hillary has the strength and experience to start solving the big challenges we face on day one," said Lincoln City Councilor Doug Holbrook. "She has reached out directly to Oregonians and talked about the issues that are important to us. Hillary has the strength and experience to put her plan for truly universal healthcare into action. Hillary isn't taking Oregon for granted and I'm proud to be supporting her."

Re: Oregon: 50 Elected Official Endorse Hillary To

I agree, and of course, the Governor.  Not to mention all the local folks and even US Rep, giving a couple Super D's.  A great list of support.

wow, I am impressed and

surprised.  A couple of super delegates too.  Very good for our girl!  I thought Oregon was hostile territory to hear some of the locals describe it.

Re: Obama's

Well, thank you for showing us how childish that you would post B O's endorsements on this diary, even if he doesn't have as many and that's including NON ELECTED Officials, apparently throwing every name you can come up with and still cut short, but we understand your desperation must have driven you to that.

So you actually counted them...Man I wish I had your job!!!

Quit whining, it's called balance

My god, for anyone on Mydd to be upset at Obama support showing up, is truly laughable.  You folks have been so unbelievably biased, unfair, and absurd in your support for Hillary, it is beyond the pale.

I know it is hard for you to believe but many of us here support Obama and want the balance of information besides the never ending chorus of Hillary's cheers

Re: Oregon: 50 Elected Official Endorse Hillary To

She is going to lose Oregon..you can take that to the bank.......and please provide proof of this nationwide momentum for Hillary.....last time I checked, Senator obama was leading in almost ALL of the nationwide tracking polls...he took a hit in the Gallup for a few days surrounding Rev Wright but has gradually slipped back into the lead....that's momentum

Re: Oregon: 50 Elected Official Endorse Hillary To

more important than that meaningless stat is the fact that Clinton does much better than Obama in the swing states that will decide the election:

OH
PA
FL
MI

We need to win 3 out of 4 of the above states to win the presidency. Obama can only win 2 at best. He is yesterday's news.

Re: Oregon: 50 Elected Official Endorse Hillary To

He will win Ohio, Pa, and Michigan(where he actually polls better than hillary against Mccain)...plus he puts into play, Indiana, Colorado, Virginia and other states that HRC has no chance to win.

Re: Oregon: 50 Elected Official Endorse Hillary

and soon, Hillary for America!

Re: Oregon: 50 Elected Official Endorse Hillary To

This is good news coming out of that state. If she wins Indiana tonight which is looking good for her thus far with 65% of the vote in, then it is on to WV for a big win. Of course the media pundits and commentators are trying to bury her for the fourth time. LOL
