actually the "occupation" of the West Bank, and the "Palestinian diaspora" are a direct result of anti-semitism. It was anti-Semitism of the Arab states and Al-Husseini, who Edward Said himself called the "general consensus of the Palestinian people" who launched the war against the small Jewish state, which resulted in the "refugee" situation. You cannot tell me that when Protocols and Mein Kampf are the best selling books in the Mid East that anti-semitism isn't a factor. Also, most Jews by far support Israel, and oppose likening it to apartheid or Nazism. Its only the extreme left of the Jews which oppose Israel, or self-hating sickos. And even the Meretz left, generally opposes linking Israel to "apartheid."
at the start of the diary, you say Israeli "colonialism" and "ethnic cleansing" began 60 years ago (62 to be precise, the founding of the Jewish State) but then you talk about how Israel has been "colonially ethnic cleansing" Palestinians for 42 (you mean 43) years. MAKE UP YOUR MIND? It seems you make the Freudian slip about how you really just wish to eliminate Israel altogether when you criticize its founding, tho you try to cover by then in other posts referring to the Six Day War. Just admit it: you're a one state guy. Be open. You're fooling nobody
not everything has to do with "hating dark people" as some of you try to insinuate. Every time someone who isn't white is called on out unsavoury activities, you cry "racism." Yes there is racism in the world, even against Arabs and Muslims. But I called out John Walker Lindh and other wannabes. Remember Lindh, he was white? In fact, some of the most brutal Islamist supporting dictators, such as Al-Assad are white as snow. What I am saying is that the same ideology, Islamism, supports both terror against Israeli and Jewish people and the events of September 11, 2001 and what the Xmas bomber did.
after not only being attacked by Islamic terrorists on 9/11 but also almost seeing Christmas '09 destroyed, that other countries, such as Israel, must protect themselves from the same terrorists. When Hamas loses power, then Israel AND Egypt can lift the BLOCKADE (it is not a siege).
the existence of an Islamist party like you do which is called Hamas? Ironic how such a person like yourself, self-proclaimed "progressive" can support religious fundamentalism. But then I remembered, to you far left radicals, as long as you look at the world thru your fucked up lens of supporting anything America hates or that hates America, you'll support anyone even if they're overtly anti-liberal and reactionary, as is Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terror groups.
because when people in this context say whether they are pro or anti-Israel, it can be the concept of there being a state in which Jews are the dominant ethnicity and in the majority. One may not support the current jihadist political system in Iran, but one can support the idea Persians should have a state in which they are ethnically dominant. If one is anti-Zionist, generally it means they oppose a Jewish state's existence.
as have others. Karma makes insightful points and in depth analysis which strikes at the heart of MainStreet, your, and other ideologies which seek to minimize jihadism and maximize the Israel/Palestinian conflict. Where's YOUR blog? have you ever even made one?
