Clinton Running Strong in OH

New SurveyUSA poll for the all-important state of OH.
(643 registered voters, MOE 3.9%):

Clinton (D) 48%, Giuliani (R) 44%
Clinton (D) 51%, Romney (R) 41%
Clinton (D) 47%, Huckabee (R) 45%
McCain (R) 51%, Clinton (D) 43%
Giuliani (R) 46%, Obama (D) 43%
Obama (D) 45%, Romney (R) 42%
Huckabee (R) 44%, Obama (D) 41%
McCain (R) 51%, Obama (D) 40%

Other than Huckabee's big surge, these results are not very different than the Nov 15 poll:

Clinton (D) 49%, Giuliani (R) 44%
Clinton (D) 51%, Romney (R) 42%
Clinton (D) 54%, Huckabee (R) 37%
McCain (R) 47%, Clinton (D) 46%
Giuliani (R) 49%, Obama (D) 41%
Obama (D) 45%, Romney (R) 41%
Obama (D) 48%, Huckabee (R) 38%
McCain (R) 52%, Obama (D) 37%

The internals show a few interesting things.

Democrats and "Liberals" vote more heavily for Clinton than Obama in all match-ups, while more Republicans will vote for Obama than Clinton in all match-ups except McCain.

Women favor the Democrat over the Republican in every match up except Obama v. Huckabee.

Men favor the Republican over the Democrat in every match up (many by wide margins).

White voters favor the Republican over the Democrat in every match up except Clinton v. Romney.

While only 2% of Ohio voters are Hispanic, they apparently love Giuliani, but favor Democrats over Republicans in all other match-ups except Obama v. McCain.

Re: Clinton Running Strong in OH

I PRAY. Boy, I PRAY the Republicans don't come to their senses and nominate John McCain. He still has a chance.

Re: Clinton Running Strong in OH

me too.

or, actually, i have mixed feelings. if a republican were to win i'd prefer tit to be him over the rest of the GOP lunatics. but, as you say, he also has the best chance of all of them of beating a Dem, so it's a dbl edged sword.

Re: Clinton Running Strong in OH

I would agree. If it has to be a Republican, let it be McCain.

Re: Clinton Running Strong in OH

If McCain is the nominee and Obama is our person, we are toast! Americans will not hand the throne of the Commander in Chief to a Senator who has been in office for 104 weeks.

Huckabee and Tootsie beat him

I think the Ohio voters would even swallow hard and vote for Mitt over Obama in the end.

Obama can't win Ohio

Large parts of Ohio are as red as Alabama or Georgia.  No way they would vote for an African American.

Re: Clinton can't win Arkansas

Rasmussen this AM:

Hillary Clinton (D)

Mike Huckabee (R)
 48%

Hillary Clinton (D)
 42%

Gore and Kerry didn't carry those 4 E.C. votes

So if Huckabee is the nominee I am willing to risk teeny tiny Arkansas.

Clinton can win Arkansas

As long as the GOP nominee is not Huckabee, Clinton will win Arkansas.
