The youth turnout in Mass. was depressing but not surprising. 18-29 year olds are constantly moving around and I'm willing to be that many of them simply missed out on when exactly the election was taking place and failed to think of filing an absentee ballot ahead of time. Many schools didn't return for a second semester until the week following the election. That meant students who go to school in Mass. and registered to vote there wouldn't have been able to make it. I also think many might have taken the election for granted, that a Democrat would surely be elected to replace Ted Kennedy.
Thats my take on the logistics of why so many voters didn't make it to the polls in the first place. In addition to that, the special election cycle itself was a complete circus and offered little for the 18-29 year old crowd to get excited about the candidate. I could understand many just tuning it out after a certain point. The media blitz made TV unwatchable and frustrating.
I just rolled out a refresh tonight. If you click edit from the permalink version of this post you'll actually see the new and improved post form and editor we've been working on for awhile. The issue is actually the admin section. Someone else borked that.
The point is that front page posts and diaries will all use the same editor and form with a few additional things being there for the admins of course. I'll address it now.
Try editing you post after the recent site refresh i just redeployed. Brand new post form with new photo insert function that is to the right of the editor.
From 2004 through 2007. Since 2007 then the original talent had largely been axed. The last best thing about Air America was Break Room Live with Marc Maron and Sam Seder. RIP.
Right at this very moment: sure. Lets see how his politics play against the party and the base over the next year.
They need a savior. Maybe Scott Brown is it. I still don't really know what he actually stand for besides his truck and torture.
Silver lining: lets say he becomes the new pro-choice face of the Republican party. Finally, abortion is no longer an issue in a presidential campaign. Pro-choice wins! :)

a reply to the test
just a test
I know there isn't any real clear correlation. I just like throwing this meat out there to satisfy my own view on the situation.
Keep the feedback coming though.
We should meet up sometime and have a Bostonian MyDD post mortem of sorts.

So you are admitting you have experienced prosperity under Obama?
The issue with a special election is the abbreviated campaign. Lets give Scott Brown some time and see how much he can mess it all up.
I still don't know how a pro-choice-ish Republican makes it to the presidential ticket.
