I have not been active on the blogs lately, but I did want to pass on this little nugget I just found at RCP.

Rock stars Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel are teaming up for their first joint concert to benefit Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Seeing the two superstars together won't come cheap. Tickets start at $500 and range up to $10,000.

I guess this is a good team up. I know many people who like one or the other but usually not both, so this may help to attract a wider audience. Maybe your experience is different.

Reminds me of an old Bloom County cartoon where the husband is going to a Springstein concert and calls him "Rocket Man" while fist pumping.

Clear advantage to the liberal side here

Seen em both, Springsteen the first time literally the same week he appeared on Time and Newsweek covers.

The classic show, did Rosalita, Spirits in the night...amazing.

I also love Billy, saw him a couple of times in the day, his drummer, Liberty Devito, is one of my favorite all time rock guys...

Well, you have to feel sorry for the GOP.

How many shows can you have the same old boring country guys at for fundraisers?

Oh, wait, Brittney Spears is a Republican.

Is she doing a series of fundraisers for McCain?
