Many had hoped Obama would become another FDR, but that's not how it has worked out.
Instead he has become the Democratic version of Herbert Hoover.

Barack Obama's Presidency has been an absolute disaster. He took a party that was so energized from 2006 through 2008 and turned it into an unenergized mess who will probably lose the House again this year because of him.

One of Hillary Clinton's and her supporters mistakes in the primary was their focus on electability. Hillary probably would have only done slightly better than Obama in the general election and it was never a very good argument to make in 2008.

Now that it looks like Russ Feingold will indeed lose reelection this year, he should strongly consider challenging Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination in 2012.

The reason Democrats are about to go extinct as a political party is former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulsen's decision not to put up the pocket change needed to help Barclay's buy Lehman Brothers and allowed this American company, which was the lifeblood of the US financial system to fail. This in turn allowed Barack Obama, an experienced, naive and downright bumbling Presidential candidate to take the lead in the polls over John McCain.

The most dangerous thing to happen to the Democratic party would be the party having to be tied to Barack Obama's fortunes. The man is not what the Democratic party stands for and seems to stand for nothing but getting himself elected. That is why he did almost nothing to elect downballot Democrats in 2008.

This is one man that Democrats should out of their way to make sure that he never gets the Democratic Presidential nomination.
This man decided to give Democrats a bag over the head, punch in the face by retiring from the Senate at the last minute.

Bob Menendez has been the worst DSCC chair I have ever seen. Worse than Bob Graham, who presided over Democrats' eight seat Senate seat and control of the Senate loss in 1994. Worse than Patty Murray, who let Republicans pick up two seats and take back the Senate in 2002 when Bush was President.
His spending nearly a million dollars for Arlen Specter in Tuesday's Democratic primary should be the straw that brakes the camel's back.

I want every single one of you who whined over and over again that "Its not 1994, Its not 1994" to personally apologize to me. This is identical to 1994. First we drop the two governorships in New Jersey and Virginia and now we are looking likely, lose a special Senate election and then within a week of each other, lose two special House elections. This all happened in 1994 too.

I am very happy with this President now that he has gotten healthcare reform passed. I feared that he would give up like Clinton did and break his promise. I feared wrong. When we really needed him, he came through for us. For the next six or eight months at least, this President will be regarded as a success in my book.
