I said lowing the cloture threshold via nuclear option would be a disaster, not lowering it generally.

I didn't say reducing the cloture threshold was unconstitutional generally (i.e. by vote), I said using the 'nuclear option' to wipe it out would be a disaster.

The 'nuclear option' is really Constitutionally problematic. And when the republicans threatened it, it likely would have only applied to judicial nominations.
