Yes, the DNC does notice!

I'm probably breaking a "too many diaries in one day rule," but I wanted to call this out separately.

While Gov. Howard Dean was speaking at the 12/3 DNC meeting, he talked about what happens when Democrats stand up for Democratic principles.

He said, "I was reading one of the blogs I read frequently right after Murtha made his resolution and I saw the comment, 'Finally, the Democrats have stood up for us; now we're going to stand up for them."

$400,000 came in from the Internet, unsolicited. A similar thing happened when Harry Reid shut down the Senate.

So, don't ever doubt that someone at the DNC is reading and paying attention to what's going on in the blogosphere and how it affects the bottom line. It could very well be Howard himself.

You won't always find people engaging in extended discussion because the DNC staffers are incredibly busy, but they do pay attention. Keep talking and keep contributing.

Well...
if they are reading...

Tell Howard I said hello.

Tell the DCCC to work with us and not against us. There are a lot more of us then there are of them and we ain't going anywhere no matter how much they mess with us and our candidates so get over it and start working with us.

Howard is fighting for us.
And he's fighting for Steve Young, too!

Check out http://www.pdamerica.org/ to catch his Robocall that he recorded on behalf of Steve Young for CA-48 Democrats!

There's no big mystery as to who's reading --
-- it's me, it's Tim Tagaris, it's Tom McMahon, it's Governor Dean, it's the rest of the staff.

No, there's no team of folks who sit and comment all day on blogs (not nearly enough Democracy Bonds for that yet).

But if you read and listen closely to what Governor Dean says and look closely at the operation he has created, you can see the ideas and the mandates of the grassroots at work.
