Assuming - and this is a big if - that approval/disapproval translates into votes, we see a Democratic electoral college landslide of 378 to 129 (they didn't survey DC but it's a safe assumption.)  Georgia, Indiana and West Virginia are tied.

If you sort by Bush approval rating it's all red on top, blue on bottom, with two exceptions: Nevada and Ohio land deep in the blue zone.

My own Iowa switches sides, as does mega-state Florida.  The western strategy may bear fruit: Bush is in the negative in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico.  And there's some slippage in the South: Arkansas, Tennessee and North Carolina, as well as border Missouri.

Ohio and Nevada ratings
In Ohio, Bush's approval rating is 17 points lower than his disapproval rating.  He is less popular there than he is in Maryland or Minnesota.  That's really amazing news, and while I'm sure that Coingate has something to do with it, that doesn't explain why he is even less popular in Nevada.

Several reasons, not least the heavy coverage of falsified scientific evidence on Yucca Mountain, and of the attempt by Bush to take a larger portion of public land sales for the feds.

Also, domestic politics plays a role; the Republican party is divided over taxes and the Republican governor is not very popular.

Mostly, I think, its the war; 60% of NV's National Guard is in Iraq and when you add in families of active duty military in Iraq or who are likely to be rotated there, thats a lot of folks.

Still, those are surprising numbers.

maybe that explains the sheer dearth of w04 bumper stickers i've been seeing lately in red red red north texas. i swear, you could not drive without seeing one of those leading up to the election, now i'm suprised if i see one or two a day.

Ohio is not surprising
No one should be surprised by Bush's high disapproval ratings in Ohio.  It just adds more evidence to the fact that Bush did not "win" Ohio, he stole it.  It supports the exit polls election day and night in Ohio, which showed Kerry winning the state by the same margin that the crooked rigged black box voting machines said Bush "won" by.

To all of you professional hacks of the political field, I wish you well in playing this rigged and foregone game.  At least you are being paid to do this, it is your bread and butter.

However, to the vast majority of Americans, it no longer makes sense to have faith in the electoral process in America.  The elections are rigged and stolen repeatedly.  Private companies with deep ties to the Republican party are in charge of the ballot machines and, surprisingly, in many states, voter registration and administration.

It matters not a rats ass to the Fascists in power in the Bush Administration, nor to the cowed corporate Democrats on Capitol Hill, what the polls are saying.  They are gerrymandered into safe seats, and those statewide and national Republicans need not worry, the black box voting machines will deliver them another rigged victory in 2006 just like they did in Minnesota and Georgia in 2002, and Bush in Ohio and Florida, and probably Nevada and Ohio in 2004.  

Do you think Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfield and the Bush fascist crime family cares about these polls? They don't give a damn, because they are fascists, in power at the barrel of a gun and rigged elections.
