If it ends up tied at 269 electoral vote the party with the fewer states can refuse to vote in the house. A quorum of 2/3 of the states is required to vote by March 4th. After March 4 the VP becomes President. The Senate picks the VP and there is no quorum requirement or time limit. Dems should pick up some Senate seats and can vote for Biden. But if they don't, then our old friend Joe Lieberman can pick the next President of the United States. Oh, the horse trading will be quite a sight to see.
It's his problem if he wants something from her. She has a full-time job representing me in the Senate. I can excuse her doing fund-raisers to pay down her own debt. It would free up alot of her time to work on behalf of Obama and other Democrats if she didn't have to do that.
When her hubby Michael Huffington almost beat Diane Feinstein for Senate in CA by demagoguing the immigrant issue the Clintons went all in to stop him. No more White House dreams for Arriana but she will do everything in her power to take down Hillary whenever and wherever she can.
BTD at Talk Left has had a few posts on Puerto Rico over the last few months. He argues that the machine controls the vote there and right now the Statehood Party governor candidate is a Republican. This Republican, if he chooses to get involved, can deliver the vote to either Obama or Clinton. Thus BTD argues that the public opinion polls don't mean much. What is your take on this?
if you can't win outright with pledged delegates then you do not have a compelling "will of the people" argument. It just isn't there. You have the "shoulder shrug of the people". Then on to the next phase, which is super-delegates.
It actually was a Kucinich supporter, Ausman, from Florida that challenged. He actually sits on this committee, knows it inner workings, and he screamed foul from day one. He challenged months ago but the committee has slow-walked the appeal hoping they wouldn't have to admit to their own screw-up. Of course the way the primary result have come out it is in Clinton's interest to back the challenge, but it is not hers.
You declare that "the only vote that is valid is one that is cast in accordance with the rules, and these were not".
Until this appeals process is finished it isn't determined if the votes were, or were not cast, by the rules. This committee is just now getting around to ruling on the appeals that will determine that.
Obama's camp has tried to convince America that this was a done deal, but it never was. You have been hoodwinked and bamboozled.

Especially considering that the Electoral College map right to the left of the post shows exactly how McCain can win. It is a very possible scenario.

of lying. Wouldn't know it by reading his site.
If not why should she lift a pinky to help Obama? Bill and Obama are meeting privately Thursday. I think the price has gone up.

That's honestly the only thing a politician has done in my lifetime that's actually insulting to my intelligence and that of the American people.
Then you are either very young or not very intelligent.
It's Churchill, you know
Oh, I guess that makes it ok.
You do know the Nazis aren't bombing us? Dial it back a bit.
Give blood for us.
This is getting more and more creepy all the time.
And they wonder why cult metaphors are used.
Two weeks ago this was his state. His backyard. His stomping ground. And he was going to stomp Hillary.
Now if a poll overstates Hillary's margin Obama is gaining?
I wish I didn't puke every time I tried the kool-aid. Must be nice to be in that place where everything, no matter what, is good for your guy.

We all know now that this guy can read a tele-prompter better than anyone else. The trust is gone. It isn't the same.
