I think it's a good ad, although the text graphics seem a little low-tech. Possibly it is a little too abstract and doesn't say loudly enough "this plan will get you a job, or a better paying job", but then again people want to seem selfless whilst actually being selfish (not in the pejorative sense).
It was clear that there'd need to be a proper election come 2010, which will include a primary. I don't see how this can be considered 'clearing the field' for Beau. He'll still need to run in a competitive primary and a general election to get elected.
I love Keith Olbermann. Who cares if he isn't fair and balanced? He doesn't claim to be!
The problem isn't that Fox is hideously slanted to the right. The problem is that they get so angsty when anyone points out they aren't fair and balanced!
I've heard that some, more centrist Dems, aren't sold on some of Webb's policies on trade and the economy. There's only so much populism that some people can handle.
When you get into the White House you get a whole whack of advisors who go with you. They give you all the information you need. What the American people should look for is someone with the right instincts and the right temperement.
Nobody has any experience at being President, except former Presidents (like Grover Cleveland!).
Also, I don't think that trashing either Obama or Clinton is really the best idea. Definately not in these really aggressive diaries. I worry that it will just divide Democrats come the general election.
Hey. My name is James, I live in the UK (Durham, to be precise). I read MyDD every day, so I decided that I should really chuck in $10 (which came out at just over £5).
I'm as liberal as the next guy here, but this stinks of hypocrisy. A few weeks ago MyDD was all ecstatic because NC was planning a similar change to it's law.
So we're for reform, when it favours Democrats, but against it when it favours Republicans?
That is a defensible position, but not from a logical or moral standpoint.
I'm currently doing research for my dissertation on the Spanish-American War. Unfortunately, all the accursed primary evidence is in the Library of Congress, which I assume is in DC.
I've got to say that I was impressed with Biden. His off the cuff comment concerning that gun nut was a real moment of candour, and I think he said what a lot of people were thinking. I think comments like that can help you to get to know a candidate far better than a dozen candidate profiles.
Heck, I'd probably vote for him just for that comment.

I can see that Coldplay might be singing about Bush.
Also, they speak for a lot of us Britons in saying "thanks". We love Obama!

Strip Lieberman of his committee chairmanship, I say. Do it for Ned Lamont.
I can't see why the Maine Senators would accept and bump to the cabinet.

"Daily Obama"?

As a Brit who occasionally reads 'The Times', I think it is unfair to characterise it as 'right wing'. It isn't particularly ideological.

Keep up the good work.

Those women didn't let you get a word in edge-ways, Johnathon. You should have butted in more!

I really should have seen it coming.
