That was great, it is hard to see with all of the smoke and fury sometimes how much headway Obama has been making recently. I will be watching upcoming polling results with more than usual interest.
It would be heaps better if you could work out a way to post the diary here.
I tried 3 times, but I don't know if it was the length or what, but it timed out. Sorry. But, I tried my best to make it balanced and I think I did.
Oh, and the conference call was huge. Much information, this campaign is going way better than is written. Huge support is coming daily and again, it did not sound like they were sweating or hurting for cash. But want folks to be focused and committed to the campaign. They have it to go the distance. Very positive.
All good. I really appreciate your effort, it is easy to lose track of the positives sometimes with all the drive-by attacks, one becomes shell-shocked and tends to lose sight of the excellent progress made by the campaign. I have high hopes for Obama and have yet to be disappointed. This train has barely left the station and hasn't even picked up speed yet. I certainly intend to be on board when it does. As Senator Obama said when he was informed that Hillary had announced, "This is going to be fun."
Thanks - great work...are you keeping this up weekly? I'm happy to help out anytime if you want to make this a regular thing.
Something worth noting. 10,000 people in Hartford, CT. That is about 1/12th of the city. In NH about 1/10th of the state population voted in the Democratic primary if I recall correctly. 1/12th of a city is a large portion of the overall Democratic voting block, even though it is only one city.
Obama refusing to have reporters at fundraisers. I'm guessing it's so they can't take a head count and make a fundraising range/estimate from it. Keepin' the fundraising a TIGHT secret this time around. I can't wait for July 1st. Brad Miller announces whether he is running for US Senate or not and fundraising reports start rolling out. I'm excited.
You spent a lot of time on that diary and I thank you. It was well worth the read to ellaborate on how busy Obama is as a presidential candidate.
Also, my guess is Edwards poll numbers continue to dwindle as hits come from reporters, fundraising reports, etc. as Richardson continues to move up.
Yeah, they are being really tight - even in his staff - on his numbers... I hope they don't wait again.
The main reason they took so long was because money continued to flow in via mail from the "House Parties" ordeal. I don't think there will be as long of a delay. I hope Obama's campaign puts another goal for donors and donations to encourage people to donate. I've got two more people who have never donated before I've got ready to throw in five dollars each and one person donating 25 dollars, never donated before.
* After getting 2 other people who never donated before to donate for a total of 55$ between the two- I also redonated this quarter. Turned 1 donor into 6 in one quarter.
they had their massive fund raisers, the dinner one and this one today. they are confident and want folks to invest in the campaign and continue, have 28 offices open in IA. I have it all on digital cassette. their internal polling is not reflective of the national or many states. i keep saying, something is going on out there. they have huge support and volunteers. so just keep doing what you are doing.
I'm sure they don't have much to worry about:
Obama, it is worth noting, received $708,000 from medical and insurance interests between 2001 and 2006, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. One day after Obama denounced Big Money control of U.S. politics in Iowa City, Iowa, the Los Angeles Times reported that Obama "raised more than $1 million in the first three months of his presidential campaign from law firms and companies that have major lobbying operations in the nation's capital." Obama has also received a combined $170,000 so far this year from financial giants Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, who together spent $4.6 million on federal lobbying in 2006.
The Los Angeles Times also reported that Obama received more than two-thirds (68 percent) of his first quarter 2007 fundraising total "from donations of $1000 or more." Obama has "played up populist themes of [campaign finance] reform," trumpeting his "large number of small donations" and claiming (in the Senator's words) to be "launch[ing]a fundraising drive that isn't about dollars.". But his astonishing first-quarter campaign finance haul of $25.7 million included $17.5 million from "big donors" ($1000 and up) - a sum higher than the much more genuinely populist and remarkably pro-labor John Edwards' total take ($14 million) from all donors.

So much for changing the tone in Washington!!
Every politician save for joke candidates like Kucinich has taken money from large donators. In percentage Edwards has taken as much as Obama. Obama has the biggest base of small donators. Should tell you something. (But won't because you are not openminded about Obama)
you (and the writer) obviously don't do math. you seem to lack a grasp of logic, as well...
It is quite ironic that you asked people to troll rate me for not posting a complete diary on DailyKos and did the same thing yourself here.
TR him, so he gets the message (0 / 0)"revenge is a dish best served cold"

you need to read the diary and people were complaining that he did not follow the rules of what a DIARY is at DKos. Read the diary.

And you did the same thing here which is why I brought it up.
I realize it is not always easy to cross post diaries to different platforms. My site BlueSunbelt.Com and many other political sites use Soapblox now and for WYSIWG diaries they are extremely difficult to post to DailyKos and MyDD which use the Scoop platform. That is why I sometimes post a summary if I cannot get them formatted correctly.
After being troll rated I finally did manage to post a copy.
The point is that you suggested that people troll rate RobLiberal's diary for "not following diary rules." I read the diary and find a lot wrong with that approach. Rob is not a troll, quite obviously, so why would you even dream of suggesting that people troll rate him? You know him from over here, many Dailykos members never make it over here and some don't know which poster is which.
Damn, that's a ton of work, great post!
I tried to post it here, took forever and hung. Tried three times. Will try again, next week.
