YOUTUBE: NBC's Schuster CRUSHES Repub Marsha Blackburn on Iraq and MoveOn ad

Amazing YouTube video...spread it wide and far...from the rolling blog-tops to the hills of MySpace and Facebook...let people see how Republicans care more about the details of a newspaper ad than the details of people back home who died in Iraq.

Thanks for posting this. Can I Recommend it 3 times?

This is the most brutal takedown of a Republican hack I have EVER seen on live TV. He demolishes the woman with one simple question.

Watch this!

Schuster and Marsha

I wish he didnt stay on the "name" thing for so long. He should have nailed her more on the fact that she is mad that NYT gave Moveon a favored rate. So what does that go to do with MoveON's ad? They condemned the ad in the senate, not the preferred rate NYT gave them. Yet she uses that as the reason why it is not analogous to Rush Limbaugh bashing Hagel and others on radio to more listeners.

Re: YOUTUBE: NBC's Schuster CRUS

and didn't even remember the person's name.

Her lack of compassion needs to be on another ad in the NYT.

"Ad Don't Kill People, Wars Kill People"

That is the title of a blog entry by Bill Richardson from earlier in the week on Huffington Post:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/gov-bill-r ichardson/ads-dont-kill-people-wa_b_6538 4.html

I wonder if Schuster read it before the interview.

Re:

Rush talked about this on today's show, remarking that the difference is that he referred to Hagel as "betraying" the GOP whereas MoveOn referred to Petreaus as "betraying" America.  Big difference.

Of course, we have to ignore the numerous times that Rush admittedly questioned the patriotism of people that disagreed with him.  Just ignore that he says Dems are "invested in America's defeat" and such.

Re:

Good answer by Rush, very convincing!  Of course, MoveOn didn't say Petraeus betrayed America, but I suppose that level of nuance isn't worth getting into.

Even a child could understand that the MoveOn ad was accusing Petraeus of being a shill for the White House, of betraying those of us who want the truth and want to get out of Iraq.  No one ever suggested that he's secretly on the al-Qaeda payroll and it's idiotic to suggest that was the message of the ad.
