Look at every midterm election since FDR.  In the 6th year of a President's (2nd) term, his party has lost an average of 6 senate seats and 30 House seats.  So, I would say its not a "Mandate against Republicans" as much as it is a political guarantee.  The funny thing is, the Republicans actually have a chance of holding on (although not much of one), and if they were to win, that would BUCK HISTORY.  

Sorry to burst your bubble libs, but if the Democrats win, its fulfilling history, not some mandate.

Democrats have no plan for ANYTHING when it relates to security.  I have yet to hear one single Democrat come up with a plan to protect our nation, with the exception of Murtha, but that man is off his rocker.  Pelosi=NO PLAN, Obama=NO PLAN, Clinton=NO PLAN, every other Democrat=NO PLAN.  The Republicans are doing a horrible f*cking job, but I'd rather have somebody in office who's is doing a so-so job than one that has no idea what to do.
