On election day, according to The Hill, John McCain carried Michigan's second congressional district, which just elected Hoekstra to an eighth term, with just 50.8 percentage points.
It's Alaska... you're not going to get elected if you don't support drilling there. Begich is going to be a big improvement over Stevens, and if he wins, we'll be swapping one pro-ANWR driller for another -- but that's to be expected, because it's a popular position in Alaska.
I don't have a horse in this race, but to me, if you're going to start comparing a Democrat to Zell Miller, you better have some pretty damned compelling evidence to back you up. Otherwise, you just look ridiculous.

100% agreed. And as we saw in 2004, having a successful businessman helm the DSCC doesn't always exactly pan out as hoped.
No to Warner.
It's three feet high and risin'.

I'm so proud of him. His oratorical destruction of McCain last night was beautiful.
THIS is the Democrat that I've been waiting for.
Why let the actions of a few interweb d00dz speak for the masses?
No shit. A million mojo points for you.
SUSA's latest poll shows some awfully surprising cross-tabs here.
