Re: Obama on NBC's Today Show Monday

Funny.

Trying to cut into Clinton's energy ?

I'll cut him some slack and say maybe he scheduled it before he knew about Clinton's move , but to say I believe it would be disingenous.

He doesn't want Clinton to dominate the news.

Did you say NBC ?  who would have thought . lol

Re: Obama on NBC's Today Show Monday

Yeah, I'd hope it's an attempt to cut into Clinton's "energy."

It would be downright irresponsible for him not to.

Re: Obama on NBC's Today Show Monday

Funny how the endorsement of a newspaper can have such an impact or " perceived impact " whatever it may be.

It seems to have blown a strong wind into Clinton's camp.

Re: Obama on NBC's Today Show Monday

Really...what new polls have come out?

I never bought the idea that her campaign was in collapse.

Hopefully after the media blitz she can get some R and R....she needs it:   http://www.drudgereport.com/

Re: Obama on NBC's Today Show Monday

This has nothing to do with the polls.

I just marvel at how a narrative can appear to change with 1 newspaper endorsement.

Really...what new polls have come out?

- Who knows the last dmr poll might show her leading , at least that is what i am hoping for.

Re: Obama on NBC's Today Show Monday

How has the narrative changed?  Clinton was second, possibly third in Iowa and may get a boost from getting the endorsement of the most widely distributed paper.  That's the narrative.  General Sherman was saying you can't say the wind is at her back when there is nothing to show the wind at her back.  If she starts doing better than a tie or losing by 5-9 in Iowa, then you can say the wind is at her back.

Have to think the phones are ringing

I'd have to think that pollster would be chomping at the bit to go back out into the field in Iowa early this week.

One to get a poll out before Christmas, and two to guage the effects of the recent endorsements.

Re: Obama on NBC's Today Show Monday

The main news stories are about how Obama and Hillary are pretty much even and how well Obama is doing (hitting his stride etc..).

Not sure what you mean about perceived impact?

Also, the Boston Globe which is a far more important newspaper nationally (I agree not in Iowa) endorsed Obama.

Hillary is the frontrunner but Obama has run a good campaign and the Clintons reaction proves it.

Re: Obama on NBC's Today Show Monday

come on the main news story was how Hillary's campaign had disintegrated and had crumbled and how Obama had risen from the ashes like the phoenix even when the polls showed her still in the lead nationally and tied in Iowa and a closer race in NH and SC.

If you listen to the so called pundits who have their heads so far up Obama's rear you might as well just have given Obama the nomination in the past 4 weeks .

Especially his allies at Msnbc , I mean two polls would come out on the same day , say from NH 1 showing Clinton ahead by 7-8 points and another showing her with a 1 point lead , its the 1 point lead one that would be shown all day with the story line Hillary Clinton is disintegrating.

Re: Obama on NBC's Today Show Monday

I don't think serious press says Hillary's campaign has crumbled but that they have made mistakes is undeniable. You've written about it yourself.

But I'm not seeing the imact of the DR endorsement at this point.. Perhaps we will see something but I doubt it.

Obama has run a serious campaign and he will either be the nominee this time (I doubt it) or if Hillary is elected he would be presumptive nominee the next time around.
