I'm sorry, but Barry O is the most conservative president since Hoover. Hillary is no liberal either. The reason Dems will go down in flames this year is because nobody has stood up for liberal ideals since Howard Dean. Traditional Democrats my ass. Where? In Alabama?
Norm Coleman? He has a history as a back stabbing party switching weasel. He has no character what so ever. His word means less than nothing. He pretended to be a Democrat while he was mayor of Saint Paul. He might try it again to defend himself against a challenge by Al Franken. It wouldn't work, but I like to take every opportunity to call Norm Coleman a weasel.
Joe is now senator # 51. I worry that if he actually caucuses with the Democrats, that he will extract too high a price. I would rather see him go to the other side than let him spread neocon influence under the name of the Democratic Party. We must continue to shape our party as a fresh alternative. Not a mush of compromise, impossible to distinguish from the Repugs.
The wave did not miss Minnesota. It took both of our legislative houses, our U.S. Senate Seat, one flipped house seat, and a sweep of our constitutional officers except for governor. Mike Hatch probably would have won the governors race if it weren't for the Independence Party candidate. The IP candidate was the type that really appealed to Democrats. He did well in the liberal strongholds. Closer examination of the numbers in Minnesota will be very strong evidence that third party candidates are indeed spoilers. Hatch had his blunders, but he would have won a two way race.
This could stimulate people's imaginations about how to possibley spend that much money in $100 increments. Lots of good gag potential here. Will $100.00 still buy a hooker in CT? Make Joe into a laughing stock. He can't pass the smell test.
I see global warming as the single greatest threat to American security by a mile. The environmental and economic devastation are bad enough, but I also see a great potential for civil breakdown. When our most valuable real estate is swallowed by the ocean, and production systems collapses, piracy and anarchy take over. I see a blood bath of biblical proportions.
You got it right that she is the favorite and that she can win. In 2004 my wife was a delegate to the State DFL convention. When she came home she said to me "Someday Amy Klobuchar is going to run for something, and we are going to support her!" I don't know what Amy puts into those speeches of hers, but it moves people. We need all of that we can get. Go Amy!
There is no representation of liberal views on fox news. Damning half truths at best. All within their frame. It would be less damning to liberal values to say nothing and let them have the microphone all to themselves. Why are you wasting your talent by contributing to their propaganda? No amount of money is worth the damage to your integrity that will happen on one fox show. Run. Run away.
Minnesota does not have a "Democratic" party. Our Democratic Party merged with our Farmer-Labor party about 50 years ago. Hence, Minnesota has a "Democratic-Farmer-Labor" (DFL)party. Third party politics only served to divide liberals.
