Spin Cycle

As a volunteer on the ground in Ohio I find some of the spinning coming from the Obama camp rather humorous. I have heard them say that Hillary won because Ohioans are racists. I have heard that none of it matters because Obama is ahead in the delegates. And I have heard that the reason Hillary won is because she attacked Obama. But as someone that is on the ground here that did go door to door talking with voters and someone that spent hours on the phone talking with voters I can tell all of them that they are wrong.

Hillary won here because people like me worked our butts of to actually talk to Ohio voters. No one I know of said anything at all detrimental about Senator Obama. If we had, we would have been thrown off the campaign. We were instructed to be positive and to stress Hillary's experience and accomplishments. We LISTENED to Ohio voters and we communicated their needs to the campaign.

Standing out in blizzards and freezing rain holding signs and waving for Hillary is how we won Ohio. Going door to door communicating with Ohio voters one house at a time is how we won Ohio. Working hard like most Ohioans work is exactly how we won Ohio. Not giving up because Hillary didn't give up on us is exactly how we won Ohio. And I commend everyone that helped in this wonderful victory.

Senator Obama's union endorsements didn't help him. The biased media didn't help him. His lies and distortions about Hillary's positions on NAFTA and Universal Health Care didn't help him. Indeed all his talk about undefined change didn't help him here either. Because we Ohioans demand competence and substance from our nominee. We have been down that other road and learned the hard way how devastating that can be. We won fair and square. And all the bitching and lying and spinning won't change that. A 5 county victory does not a state make. At least not in Ohio.

Re: Spin Cycle

We fought hard here to stop the Omentum and it paid off. Now back to normal life at least for a few days.

Re:One Thing They Can't Spin

One thing Obama can't spin is what CNN alluded to last night.

In key battleground electoral rich states, Obama has done poorly in Suburban & Rural areas across the state.

He has done very well in urban cities with predominantly black populations. But outside the urban areas, he loses by landslide margins.

This is a Big Problem for the General Election. If he can't even perform at par in suburban & Rural areas in the primary, he will lose by landslide margins in the GE in these states once the General population of White voters go to the polls in November.

As CNN John King pointed out , its now 8 electoral rich GE states OH,MO,TX,NJ,MA,FL,AR,TN, & CA that Obama has done poorly outside of his black area stronghold.

King said that don't be surprised if PA looks exactly like OH on election night due to very similar demographics. With one big difference. Its a Closed Democrat Only Primary. So Clinton should do even better than she did in OH.

King points out that Obama does well with College Educated Liberal Whites. But he quickly adds that this demographic is  a small percentaget of the primary & especially the General election.

We will start seeing more pundits talking about this.

Jerome Armstrong already starting showing us maps of Obama losing everywhere but Black areas.

How can you expect to compete in the GE?

Re:One Thing They Can't Spin

Obama clearly has serious problems with White Working classvoters, Senior Citizens & White women voters.

This is the 4th state now where Union members went against their party bosses & voted for Clinton.

Can you imagine how these block of voters will perform in November ?

Re:One Thing They Can't Spin

The Unions Obama has supporting him have largely made their endorsements from the top down, not by members actually voting one way or the other. So it isn't surprising that he isn't doing well with the rank and file.

Re:One Thing They Can't Spin

As a college educated liberal white I don't think Obama is doing all that great. But seriously, everything you said is very accurate and I expect the results in PA to closely mirror Ohio as should KY and IN.
