MSNBC's First Read is reporting that Barack Obama's campaign is now going to air it's first radio ads in South Carolina today. In an attempt to gain support among voters in this early voting state, Obama's ad specifically mentions several issues relating to the black community and offers his unique experiences as his solution.  "We've got more work to do" is the refrain.

Over the core of the past few weeks, I've seen many diaries on this site with ludicrous claims about who's up and who's down and the single source of evidence is a single poll.

I think this needs to stop.  We should begin to take Chris's advice and look at averages of all polls.  Further more we shouldn't look at one set of polls and see that say Hillary Clinton is 10 points ahead, and claim that her gap is widening.

Polls with such small N's are simply not very reliable in this stage of the campaign, but a slow and steady average will give us a better picture of the campaign.
