I seen it before as "Bush in Freefall."  He's not boneless.  He's a bonehead.

  • comment on a post Bush *sort of* accepts responsibility over 6 years ago
Saying a generic "I'm responsible" is not the same as saying I'm sorry I am a d!ck and stayed on vacation and let thousands die or suffer horribly.  It doesn't wipe away "Y'er doin a heck of a job Brownie," and "what didn't go right?"

What it does do is pacify those who are willing to settle for crumbs from a crumb and who don't demand accountablility and and independent investigation.

If it did, and he were really holding himself responsible, he would resign and sentence himself to life in prison.

And don't believe what you hear.  They are trying to seduce you with a false sense of reality...theirs.  They were KIDDING when they disagreed with the administration.  That's what stands for humor at Fox.

Great letter, Linda.  It deserves to be printed, and if the Enquirer has any pretense of being anything other than a republican tool, they will.

What will be left of civilization as we know it, once Bush and Blair, Inc. get through with it?  People are confused and frightened, and therefore, innocent people get hurt...innocent Brazilians, British, American, Iraqi, Afghani and on and on it goes.

Thanks for finding a bit of humor inside the tragedy.  I believe in humor (although you already know that Renee,) because irony often leads to the truth, or at least the seeds of truth.  Thanks for the Frantics and bless the Daily Show, bless us every one.

If only we had a Doctor in the (White) House.  No, not dread doctor Frist, Good Dr. Howard Dean.  If Dean were President, 'hope, not fear' would be the rule of the day.  If only...

I've been out of town for a few days and returned to find your Day 2 Diary.  What you are doing is important. Sure, I could write my own diary of my own experiences (although ours do intersect a lot) at DeanFest, but I...I...the dog ate my...out of town...busy busy...who has time...let Renee do it.  I do seem to find the time to read your hard work.  And thanks.

I never expected to see my photo on this post; once with some very good friends (including Flat Howard) and once with a very handsome guy named Demetrius.  Thank you for your post and for the greater gift of your friendship.

I didn't realize until after Sgt. Jeffries spoke that recruiters work on 'commission.'  If they don't meet their quotas, it effects their income and even their career status.  They can be demoted.  So, they lie.
  • comment on a post Dean on PBS..how to back up other Democrats. over 6 years ago
And he learns quickly.  The rules are changing and Dean is changing them.  He will not be trapped into answering questions about spurious headlines or lured into the kind of cannibalistic attacks on other Democrats...even those who would not hesitate to attack him.  And yes, Durbin IS one of the good guys.

I heard what Molly said and I agree up to the beer part.  Will white wine do?  How about a margarita?  I never learned to like beer.

DemFest was great.  Don't know if I met you there, but if not, I'm pleased to meet'cha here.

L'Chaim!  I'm taking my country back!
