though Andrew Rice is my foremost on my agenda, seeing how our incumbent U.S. Senator James Inhofe is such an environmental bottleneck. Inhofe says that "global warming is the second largest hoax after the separation of church and state."
Thanks for information on the others. I believe in giving until it hurts.
Oklahoma also may be in play because of Andrew Rice. People who hear Rice talk like him--he's articulate and reasonable. Republican Jim Inhofe says global warming is the "second largest hoax after separation of church and state," which makes Oklahoma sound very backwards and is downright embarrassing.
According to a poll quoted in DKos, Oklahomans, when asked, "If the election for US Senate were held today, would you to reelect Jim Inhofe, would you consider voting for another candidate or would you vote to replace Inhofe? Oklahomans responded: Reelect 39, Consider someone else 23, Replace 28. It will take a lot of work, though.
Jeff Merkley has a real solid shot at unseating Republican Gordon Smith--Smith's numbers are slipping rapidly. His ads may help sink him faster and faster, instead of giving himself camouflage. Oregonians need they need 60 seats to really make a difference.
President Reagan TRADED ARMS for HOSTAGES with IRAN. It was all under the table, and it was conduct disgusting and unbecoming of a potential president. Read your history, PLEASE. The ignorance of many Republicans is breathtaking. You'll have to do your own research, though, because most of the mainstream media won't want to embarrass their darlings.
Thanks for keeping health care in the spotlight. There are too many lives being lost in the US. We're ranked by the World Health Organization as 37th in health car, behind Costa Rica and before Slovenia.
I was leaning toward Clinton because of her experience and health care plan, but then she up and pandered on the issue of gas tax. This means that she is not serious about global warming, and I gagged.
Now I am back to square one--undecided. All my money will go to the coattails. This year, the coattails will not get much help from the Democratic candidate at the top, so the coat tails need reinforcement. I figure any money I have to Clinton and Obama will just be used to help destroy the top of the Democratic ticket, whomever survives.
and think that Oklahoma would be well served by Rice because he is articulate, bright, sophisticated, reasonable, and personable.
The energy industry is NOT well served by James Inhofe, who calls global warming a "hoax" and alienates many of his Senate colleagues. Inhofe has been a roadblock to progressive energy legislation that invests in alternative sources of energy.
Both of Oklahoma's current senators have a bit of a reputation for being doctrinaire, stubborn, and inflexible. It is time to vote them out and find people who can make things happen for Oklahoma.
Obama's comments were taken out of context and have become a tempest in a teapot. Happens altogether too much in politics. Obama has said something statesmanlike about Hillary's response and is helping to defuse the air.
As a former Edwards supporter, I'd be fine with supporting either Hillary or Barack, though I'd prefer Hillary's health care and Barack's organizational abilities, and have a problem with Hillary's sense of entitlement and Barack's lesser spine. As Edwards once said, McCain is Bush on steroids, which remains true. To that I add, McCain does NOT do his homework.
Universally mandated health care is definitely the way to go, and this is illustrated by the experience of Canada and the majority of First World countries. Otherwise, those who pay will wind up paying for the freak needs of the many who do not pay. We already do, so at least let us be efficient about it and not wait for someone to be in their advanced and most expensive stages.
Elizabeth does her homework; McCain does a gross, inhuman triage. Thank you for speaking out for all of us, Elizabeth. You're looking great, and we hope you feel as great as you look!
files for fifty years upon his death. I think that now that Coretta Scott King has passed away, that they should unlock the files. The FBI spied on and threatened Dr. King. I'd like to find out to what extent they persecuted him so this nation can learn some lessons in avoiding repeats.
I will vote for either Barack or Hillary or both after the Democratic Convention. However, I cannot get too excited about them because I see them both trimming their sails and tacking this way and that a bit to satisfy their corporate sponsors. I felt very let down watching Edwards get forced out by the media. I am hoping to be enthusiastic by their VP picks and would also be very excited if they pick each other.
Instead, I'm also focusing on regional candidates such as Andrew Rice, who is running for the U.S. Senate in Oklahoma. His opponent is incumbent Republican Senatory James Inhofe, a total captive of the energy interests and in denial over global warming.
Now I am for Edwards. As a Senator, he didn't get much done partly because when the opposition party's leadership see you as a potential presidential candidate, they try harder to shut your bills down. Which also helps explain why he saw the system as broken faster than the other senators.

PTSD is horrendous and hard to shake. We need more research and aid into this area. We are losing many surviving vets to suicide and depression.

My position: Any Democrat for President

Please do your homework. A trial lawyer works pro bono if the case loses. Edwards has been consistently against NAFTA.

Much of Iowa is rural. Even many of the city and suburbanites have rural roots. Feelings about preserving farms run deep.
know the lay of the land. John Edwards mother once worked as a postal worker.
