Obama raising 500K+ per hour after SC win

One of the important results stemming from Obama's resounding victory over Hillary Clinton's barrage of lies is the impact it will have on fundraising. Campaigns cost money and he needs a lot of it to continue acquiring delegates. Early indications are fairly positive and are reproduced below.

Its doubtlessly true that supporters of Obama are energized by the victory and will redouble their efforts with respect to donations.

A Quick Fundraising Spike Online

By Matthew Mosk and Jose Antonio Vargas
A source inside the Obama campaign says the candidate's web site has seen one of its best hours tonight, raising $525,000 in one hour. A senior aide inside the Obama campaign said the candidate's site saw its "highest peak" tonight in both online donations and traffic, "bigger than after Iowa, bigger than after New Hampshire."

The Obama campaign measures online donations every 15 minutes, and the source said that online money was pouring in at the rate of more than $500,000 per hour.

With so much money and admiration, I hope he'll make time to get the DC and support Dodd, vote against torture.  That will push his poll ratings even higher.  And what he does or does not do about FISA will determine for me what his real intentions are.  Does he plan to uphold the constitution now and as president, or not?  This is a major constitutional decision.

Sorry for so many errors in the last comment.  It's past bedtime.  Should have read:

Critical money for the campaign that will help us compete vigorously in the big expansive states.

HRC has a ton of money and Obama will need a huge boost to compete in the non-retail super tuesday states.

Sadly, cash still rules in american elections so until we get true campaign finance reform,Obama has to try to raise cash from small donors.

I am going to
his site in a few minutes to make another donation.  I am psyched that we still have a chance to nominate someone who can really move the progressive agenda along.
And heal some of the contentiousness in the party and the country.
