Thanks for the laugh. Sarah Palin going after Joe Biden on foreign policy. Hilarious. Is she going to explain to him what to do if Putin should happen to pop up over Alaskan airspace?

  • Obama also puts NC and VA in play according to two new polls so I'm not sure that you can make any negative conclusions regarding his candidacy. It appears he will add a few states that Democrats typically do not do well in.

The complaint from Alegre seems to be that some Obama supporters were mean to her/him on the internet. However, s/he is angry with Barack Obama for something he has no control over any more than Hillary has control over what is said at MyDD or Taylor Marsh.

Sorry but as someone who lurks here but infrequently posts, I cannot see myself getting upset with a candidate for what their supporters say on the internet. From what I have seen both sides have dished it out in large amounts but I will reserve my opinion of candidates to their words and actions.

Same here. As soon as I heard Stephanopoulos would be one of the moderators, I decided to opt out. Seems I made the right decision.

Maybe next time Howard Wolfson could serve as the moderator.

Working Americans have been repeatedly seduced at the polls by emotional issues such as the predictable mantra of "God, guns, gays, abortion and the flag" --Webb

Now how is this different again?

  • You are excusing this contemptuous language from McCain and complaining about some unknown perceived insult to Hillary Clinton. Sorry but as a woman, I am puzzled. I don't know if it is true. I have often wondered what the Bush team meant in 2000 when they spoke of McCain as lacking the temperament to be president. If this is true, this is both offensive and over the line.

If you choose to vote for him knowing this, please don't pretend that it is not absolutely offensive.

  • If true, that trumps anything that has been said so far in this campaign. I'm speechless. If this is what he would say about his wife, I can't imagine what his temperament would be like as POTUS.

I forgot that everything is about the Clintons. God forbid someone make an endorsement based on their individual judgement about who they would like to see running the country.

We all forgot that everything is about "The Clintons". It's like the Democratic party is trapped in some third rate sitcom with Bill and Hill as the leading characters and we're trying to get the network to cancel this poorly written farce.

Where in Central PA specifically are you suggesting he will lose that is not definitively republican.

In other words I'm not talking about Perry County. The Mayor of Camp Hill switched parties so that he could vote for Obama.

    Mr/s beebop,
I'll assume you know little about PA politics.

    1. Bob Casey Sr. is not a "bitter dude". He is the DECEASED former, very popular governor of PA.

    2. Bob Casey Jr. is the least "bitter dude" alive. He is a jovial, centrist Democrat who does very well among Catholics being one himself. The Casey name carries alot a good deal of weight in PA.

    3. Casey Sr. beat Rendell in the governors race and Casey Jr. lost to Rendell but won all but 9 of the 60 something counties in the state.

His decision to not only endorse but actively campaign with Barack Obama in the state is certainly a big deal.

Sorry to disappoint the diarist but the support for Barack Obama in Central PA is very high. Despite the uninformed ranting of Carville (PA being Philadelphia, Pittsburgh with Alabama in the middle).

Thousands showed up this morning to get tickets for a townhall meeting in Harrisburg scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Most had to be turned away after waiting for hours in the cold.

Watch for the rally on Sunday at Penn State and then the townhall at the Forum in Hbg to see the extent of his support in the state.

Reading some of the diaries here is like visiting another planet. There just seems to be no connection to reality.

There is a measure of how the voters feel regarging Obama and Clinton. It is called polling.

NBC/WSJ has Hillary with a net negative perception among voters.

Gallup Daily tracking has her behind by 8 points.

We are just walking through the motions for about another 3 weeks.

  • So the response from the Hillary supportes is "yeah, we already know she is a liar". That seems like an odd defense of he Tuzla deception.

    I agree. Nice post.

I voted for Barack Obama on Feb 5th. It was the right vote for me then and I feel exactly the same today. He is a man of courage and conviction, who does not back off away from his positions just because the media complains (his Pakistan stance). I just listened to his interview on a radio station in Philadelphia on the Michael Smerconish show and he still has the same position regardless of what the media says.

That is the candidate for me and I will wear it proudly.
